Lost and Found

I was sitting with Emily and Kim on a blanket we laid out. Emily had Claire this week so Quil was playing with her by the water. Embry, Seth, Leah, and Jake were sitting on a log not to far down the beach.

I was watching Paul as he kicked the soccer ball around with Sam and Jared. Emily was braiding Kim's hair and Kim was braiding mine.

It was relaxing today and I loved when I had these days with the pack. Sure my family is great but they don't really do anything fun. I never get to go out running with them because I'm not as fast as them.

Ever since my powers showed up a lot of things have strengthed, like my eye sight and hearing. I've gotten a lot faster but not vampire or werewolf fast.

I snapped out of my thought when I heard Sam and Jake talking. "No you won't."

"Well the treaty says-" Sam cut Jake off, "I say Jake." I rolled my eyes. I love Jake and all but he really needs to move on from Bella. Can't he see that she is happy with Edward?

"Hey babygirl." I looked up and saw Paul standing over me. I smiled and pulled him down to sit beside me.

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to his chest. Jared and Sam did the same to their imprint. "You're lucky I finished her braid Paul." Kim said making me laugh.

"Watch this." I nodded towards Quil. His back was towards the water and his focus was on Claire. I raised my hand to the water and it followed.

Everyone laughed as I soaked Quil. He glared over to me and shook his head. Claire was laughing and messing with Quil's wet hair.

For the rest of the day we stayed at the beach, we ate, talked, and just goofed around.

When it was time for me to go home Paul walked me to the treaty line where my dad was waiting for me.

"Text me later. I don't have patrol tonight." I nodded and hugged Paul before running over to my dads jeep.

I got in and waved to Paul before turning to my dad. "You love him don't you?" I blushed. Me and my dad never really talk about me and Paul.

I nodded, "yeah. A lot." He sighed as he nodded, "then lets hope he doesn't hurt you."
