The birds were chirping overhead, sunlight hit my face. I blinked a little, still groggy from waking up by the sun's rays. I roll over and hide my face in Dustin's chest and he shifted a little, wrapping his arms around me again. The events of last night came back to my mind. I opened my eyes once more and blinked several times to wake up.

I push myself up, his arms still partly around me. I shift and he pulls them away, waking up as well. I sat on my knees as I stretched a little, feeling a bit stiff from our little ''camp out''. I stand up and move away a little, not wanting to be close to him at the moment. I notice Dustin getting up as well, obviously still tired. "How much farther do we have to go? Or can I go home now?" I said, pushing my hair into place. I glanced over to Dustin and saw him running a hand through his hair, making it return to normal. "We only have to go a mile more, then we'll enter the realm of the Sky People." He told me, starting to walk the way he had been going last night until I had stopped.

I look over my shoulder, wishing for home deeply. Though something urged me to go with him, I look away and then follow this Sky Person. We walk on in silence, the birds singing and the sun slowly rising in the sky. A twig snapped and I slowed down a little, glancing over my shoulder. I looked back at Dustin to see him still walking, not even slowing down one bit. I shrugged and walked on, deciding that the noise was just from some animal. The birds started to become quiet as we walked on, danger seeming to be in the air. "Dustin, something doesn't seem right.... Shouldn't we stop in case there is a trap up ahead?" I said, catching up to him and grabbing his arm. He stopped and looked at me, frowning a little. "No, we keep going. If we stop whatever is following will catch up and attack." He said, pulling his arm away and walking on.

I watch him for a moment before following him, and then getting grabbed from behind getting a hand over my mouth. A low voice speaks in my ear, and one that was familiar. "Stalking a guy now? My that's unlike you, specially when you have me." I blink as the guy said that. He went to my school, and we used to date until I broke up with him.

I heard him continue on, starting to pull me back slowly as Dustin continued to walk. "Your parents called me to come pick you up, they told me you were here. Good thing too..." He continued before stopping and making me face him.

I yelped out Dustin's name before getting a tongue pushed down my throat. I try to pull away from my ex's kiss, which was just awful at the moment. I heard Dustin come over quickly and then punch my ex away, soon grabbing me and pulling me close to him. Fury was in his voice when he spoke. "I believe she is mine, not yours to contaminate." He said, his face even showed the fury that was in his voice.

My ex wiped away some blood from his mouth and straightened up after Dustin had punched him. I glance at Dustin and then at my ex. He smirked a little and curled his hands into fists.

"So, you wanna be an ass eh? Well let me tell you, I'm the captain of the boxing team and I haven't been beaten yet!" He boasted, Dustin didn't say anything to him in reply. Dustin then looked down at me like I was giving him a lot of trouble.

"Now, how am I going to cleanse you from that trash?" He sighed, ignoring my ex now.

I stare at Dustin and then pull away, walking away a few feet. "You aren't doing anything to me!" I snap, crossing my arms and leaning against a tree. My ex goes over to Dustin quickly and grabs the front of his shirt, putting his face in Dustin's. "How 'bout this... Whoever wins this fight gets ownership of Roe," he got cut off by me snapping that I wasn't a thing but he ignored me and continued on. "And whoever has ownership of her gets to do whatever he wants to do with her." I watch this with a bit of disgust, how could he say something like that?! I see Dustin push him away slightly and nod in agreement. I face palmed, knowing I would defiantly smack Dustin upside the head if he won. But if he didn't.... That I didn't know of yet.

I heard the smack of a punch and then the thud of someone hitting the ground, hard. I move my hand away from my face to see my ex on the ground with his face bloody and knocked out. Dustin had a foot on his chest and was looking down at him with a bored expression. "That was too easy...." He stated dryly, turning his head to look at me. I didn't say anything in reply. He walked over and put a hand on my cheek, looking right into my eyes. "Looks like I own you now, and can do whatever I want too." He said, leaning his head closer to mine. I almost forgot that I was going to smack him because he oddly made my mind go blank at times. I lifted a hand and smacked him upside the head before he could get his pretty face even closer to mine. He jerks his head away with a frown, taking his hand away from my cheek and using it to rub his head. "What was that for? I just saved you from that piece of trash!" He said, returning the smack now. I huffed and put a finger on his lips before he could say anything else. "That was for trying to do anything to me and I don't give a damn if you saved me! I don't even know why you bothered! And don't give me any 'I'm your guardian' crap!" I snap, pulling my finger away and pushing past him. I start to walk the way we were going before my ex had shown up when I was stopped and soon picked up. I yelped and quickly wrapped my arms around Dustin's neck as he carried me swiftly.

I look up at him, his face was calm and composed as he looked straight ahead, acting as if he wasn't carrying me at all. I lower my head and closed my eyes, trying to think back on what movie I had seen with something like this in it. I sigh slightly, now helpless on what to do now. "We're almost to the gate. Then once we pass the gate we can head to my place and rest up some more." He informed me, causing me to open my eyes and look back up at him. "There is no way you are going to have me sleep in the same house as you." I state, staring at him. He stops and looks down at me. "Would you rather sleep in the same house as that guy?" He retorted, walking on again. I huffed and didn't reply to him.

After a few minutes of silence he stopped and put me down without warning. My arms were still around his neck and I pulled him towards me by accident. I widen my eyes as he caught his balance and was now very close to my face, about half an inch away. I swallow, my mind going blank as we stared at each other awkwardly. I see him lick his lips, obviously not knowing what to do. I then felt his hands press against my back to keep me from falling as I took my arms away from his neck. I straightened myself up and glance away, my hands still on his chest for some reason. His hands remained on my back as we just stood there, silent.

I blink after a few moments and then pull away, taking a few steps back. Dustin crosses his arms and looked away, trying to act like nothing happened. I look away as well and cross my arms, letting out a huff. "You should give me a warning next time you decide to drop me!"

I scowled at the trees, refusing to even look at him. "DROP you?! Who ever said I dropped you?! I simply set you down!!" Dustin snapped back, clearly pissed. I just lift my chin a little, receiving an angered growl from him. I turn and walk past him, heading the way we needed to go. As I walked I heard Dustin following me with a huff.
