Chapter 6: Tests, Girls Confessions

  Maybe I'm in prison...

A prison full of eight weird teenagers? Come on Luna, you can think better than this. And if you were in prison, I think you can use your powers.

Maybe that's correct. But If I'm not in a prison, well... where the hell am I?

Everyone was sitting in a bench, not talking to anyone. Most of us were deep in our thoughts. Thinking about what had happened. Nathaniel and Amara were the only ones who looked like they just came out of a normal day in school. Maybe Nathaniel had that mask on, his ego preventing him from showing how he really felt. But Amara was a different story; even in the first round she looked normal. Did the first round affect her?

Natalya was still crying. Not full on sobbing, but I could still hear her sniffles. No one seemed to mind, or no one seemed to notice about how she was reacting. My guess is she's a bit weak compared to the rest of us.

Suddenly, a booming alarm went off. Everyone came back from their deep thought and looked around alarmed. Every time a 'beep' went off, the next one comes even louder than the one before. Nathaniel and Carter stood up; trying to figure out why was that sound coming. Then, Landon and I stood up next. We searched the place and nothing happened, but the alarm was still there, being loud and freakishly annoying.

Suddenly, an excruciating pain came from the back of my neck. I instantly fell down to my knees, writhing in pain. I touched the back of my neck but nothing happened. This isn't like the one before, I thought to myself. Looking around, I noticed everyone was on the floor in pain. What now?

My brain started to come up with things that maybe were causing this. My eyes widened, what time is it? Maybe that's it. Maybe they want us in our room. But how am I supposed to go up the stairs with this pain? I shut my eyes with force and counted to ten. When I reached ten, I let out a breath but the pain was still there. The alarm was driving me crazy at this point, and the pain isn't helping much.

I let out a quiet scream when the pain was unbearable and then it was gone but the alarm was still on. Standing up quickly, I shouted, "Room, now!"

I heard someone shout back to me between the lines 'why' and 'has to do with the room' but I didn't pay attention and started sprinting towards the stairs. Many footsteps were behind me so I guess they followed me. When I reached the top of the stairs, the pain came back. At least no one fell down the stairs since I didn't hear anything. I fell to the floor and started dragging myself with my left arm since my right hand was touching my neck.

Sweat was trickling down my forehead as I was gasping for air. I was finally reaching the entrance towards the room when I heard someone yell. I looked back and saw Nathaniel dragging himself but pushing Amara to the side. Of course he would do that. Since the boys room was closer to the stairs, Nathaniel entered his room and I saw him laying there for a second and then stood up, perfectly normal. He turned around to face the door and looked at me with a smirk on his face. He waved at me and turned around to lie on his bed.

The pain once again went away and I took that opportunity to go crawling towards the entrance. When I reached the room, I let myself fall back down to the floor and closed myself. I felt the other girls running towards the room and someone ran over my body but I just laid there on the floor, trying to catch my breath. I couldn't hear the alarm so my guess is that everyone arrived to their rooms. I let out a deep breath and stood up slowly so I don't get dizzy. When I reached the bed, the girls (the twins), started asking me questions
