*Gen's POV*
I roll over and sigh when I realize I can't go back to sleep. I check my phone and see I have 20 mins till my first alarm. Yay me I thought, I groan while getting up not thinking about Liam, my year old brother. I barely make it to the door before I hear him starting to fuss.
"Oh my little buddy" I say as I pick him up and rub his back, instantly calming him down.
Then smile down at him as he does that cute baby yawn that would make anyone swoon. I walk into the kitchen and start a pot of coffee and a bottle for Liam when I hear a muffle of what would be a gun shot.
I don't think I could roll my eyes hard enough. God I hate living here, but we're too poor to live anywhere else. I pull out the bottle and test it on my wrist before handing it to Liam. Putting him in his high chair and feeding him some Cheerios.
Once I hear my alarm go off, I sigh. 30 mins till I need to take Liam to daycare and head over to the hell hole of Central Denmark High School. Home of the bears and the snottiest bitches in well, central Denmark.
After Liam finishes, I take him to my room and get him changed and sit him on the bed with his toys and turn on Sponge Bob. Then I proceed to fix my mess of a face. I don't have time to even think about my hair so I put it in a bun. Throwing on jeans, boots, a Pink Floyd t shirt, I grabs Liam and walk through my house.
Before I actually get to leave, I have to walk by my dear druggie mother and her sloppy boyfriend of the week. Covering Liam's eyes, I walk past them biting my tongue to the point where I can taste my own blood.
Times like this I'm glad Liam is as young as he is. I couldn't remember any memories until I was at least 4 almost 5. He couldn't possibly remember this could he?
Trying to not get caught up in the past, I turn on the radio lightly and tap on the steering wheel as Liam has already passed out in his car seat. God I love that boy, with everything in me. I'd do anything for him. And I'm going to make sure he knows it. Every single day of his life. He's going to have the life I never did.
I get thrown out of my thoughts when I pull into his daycare and hear all the toddlers screaming and squealing. Oh god, I think to myself, how could anyone ever do this job? I pull myself out of my car, groaning again. Only 17 and I already have the body of my great grandmother.
Getting Liam inside is a breeze. He's the best kid around. He's calm and sweet, but like any two year old he's a little asshole when cranky. I was watching him play with blocks when I shifted my gaze to a curly haired blonde.
She wasn't very tall. Definitely under my 5'7' stature, but neither her height or hair was what really drew me in. It was her light green eyes, the kind that make you want to stare into them just a bit longer to capture every detail.
I didn't realize how hard I was staring until one of the moms coughed. And when I snapped my head over to give her the death stare, she was already back with the rest of goody goody money loving whores, whispering. God I hate Denmark.
Kissing Liam's head, I walked back to my car. Getting in I clicked on my seatbelt and barely got the radio up before I heard the loud purring of a bike.
Just as I turned my head, I caught those green eyes staring back at me a couple parking spots over. Softly smirking, I give a slight wave. After getting a shy wave back, I headed on my way to school.
Just as I pulled into the school, I see cops and news reporters everywhere. This is just what I needed to start this shitty Monday off. Getting out of my car, I started walking towards my school building. I better be getting today off.
