MORGAN P.O.V
Fridays, the last day of school, the day for anything boring to end and the beginning of something exciting that can loosen and boost up the lost spirit.
Yes I may not be in agreement with my friends at the moment and chose my fated side over them but I wouldn't let that dampen my mood
That's why I love Fridays, I wouldn't need to think about them and other related issues until Monday.
Hazan wanted me to meet his father today, I was quite spooked when I found out, I mean....I never had to worry about it with Kyle cause he's parents were never in town.
The drive felt like eternity, most especially because Hazan was driving out of town which made me reminisce of the time Richard Hest – my so called legal guardian for those who forgot – talking about surprises; I shot up straight on the edge of the car seat when the familiar brown wooden cottage formed in front of me
Was Hazan related to Richard?
"How do you know Richard Hest" I stated
"Right the background story, Richard is my uncle but with both my parents dead, he became the father figure in my life" Hazan preached
I guess that makes sense
"Cool" I said
"Wait how do you know him?" Hazan asked brows crossed
"He became my legal guardian since my mother was hospitalized" I answered
"That's bizarre; anyways are you ready?" Hazan asked
He took my hands as he said those words, an eerily calm hugged me and I couldn't help but smile as I nodded my head
Better now than never
We walked up the wooden floors and knocked on the door.
A surprised facial expression covered Richards face as he saw us together holding hands but he abruptly changed and gave an overly wide smile that made he's oval shaped face stretch with wrinkles
Yep, still gives me the creeps
"Please do come in" Richard said inviting us in the cabin
The cabin gave off the traditional laid back feeling, stuffed animals designed the walls and a rug of a polar bear rested on the wooden floor next to the fire place.
I shrugged my jacket off leaning close to the fire
Oh how I hate the cold
"I am pleased that everything is working great between you two, Hazan you have proved yourself quite resourceful" Richard said
"Thanks pops, this is Mo-"Hazan started
"Oh I know her alright, welcome doll, you never kept your end of the bargain"
Great! He's pissed because I never visited him at least three times a week
"Sorry about that Richie; must have forgotten" I lied
Richard humped and got up to bring in the tea that was done boiling on the modern stove; I gave a solemn glance to Hazan worried I might have made a bad impression
"Don't stress, he just not in a good mood today" Hazan murmured
"I noticed" I resorted
