Ness

I knock on Rock's door and pour myself a bowl of Banana Blast while waiting for his response (Whoever says I can't multitask is a downright LIAR). After about 30 seconds I knock again, earning myself an answer.

"Yeah? What is it?" Rock asks from the other side of the door.

"We gotta go see Crazy about the teleporty thing."

"Yep, okay, just gimme a sec." He tells me. I nod to myself and hear him move some things around. The door opens and Rock steps outside.

"I'm ready when you are." He tells me. I nod and just drink the rest of the bowl before dumping it in the sink.

"Villa?" I ask for the boy.

"Yuh huh?" He responds, looking up at me.

"Tell Lucas to try and get Ike on board. And see if he can get Ike's friends, too." I tell him. He nods.

"Yep. Sure."

"Coolio. Alright, we'll be on our way. See ya soon."

"Bye." Villa waves. I wave back and leave the house with Rock.

I knock on Crazy Hand's door, but there's no answer. I wait a few moments before knocking again. I decide to take it into my own hands and open the door myself.

The door opens to a fairly regular sight. Crazy Hand's desk, various papers and the like scattered across it. A few small machines here and there, and finally Crazy Hand. She's asleep, face down on her desk.

I sigh and leave, crossing over to Master Hand's office. I knock a couple of times before I'm answered.

"Ness. Megaman. What brings you two to my office?"

"Your sister's asleep and we need to talk to her." I tell him. He nods.

"I'm sure I could provide a sufficient substitute."

"No, it's um..." I glance around the room trying to think of something to say. What's something that girls are good to talk to about? "Boy problems?"

"I'm a male myself, surely I could help."

"No, like... Gay stuff."

Master Hand looks taken aback, but quickly resets his posture. He clears his throat before speaking.

"Ah, yes, I... Never took you for that type. I'm sure she'll be awake in a couple of hours."

"Okay, thanks... Keep an eye on her, okay?" I tell him. He nods.

"Always do." He responds with a quick smile.

Lucas

It's Lucas, alone, on his way to recruit Ike to join the resistance. I'm kind of an important part of this small army. But right now I'm just... Strolling down the street and hoping that whatever grabbed me before doesn't now. Maybe I'm off of its radar for now, because I was already grabbed. Hopefully.

But... What if Ike doesn't believe me? What if he thinks I'm an idiot that's trying to prank him? No, no, this is a bad time for these thoughts. I have to stay determined, stay on track. Everything is everything and nothing is nothing.

I grab my elbow and glance around for no particular reason. The city is a lot scarier when you're alone. A lot sadder, too. There's truckloads of stuff that's almost unnoticeable, even with your attention on it.

But when you don't have a best friend to have your attention, you notice it a lot more. The Missing Luigi poster on the ground, covered in dirty shoeprints and stains, for example.

I wonder if Peach is okay. Probably not. I hope somebody is keeping her company while Mario and Luigi are out of commission. Bowser probably would, or Rosalina. They seem to be friends.

I look up at the news building, the name The Fire Emblem sitting comfortably above the entryway. I sigh and bite my cheek. It won't matter for very long, since we'll be getting them back sooner or later.

After giving myself a quick pep talk, I open the door. I glance at Marth's desk but, peculiarly enough, he's nowhere to be seen. I even try ringing the little bell thing, but to no avail.

I head through the door and climb up the stairs and onto the office floor. Inside is Ike, Roy and Corrin.

I give myself another pep talk and knock on the door.

Ike glances over before approaching and opening the door.

"Lucas? What's happened this time?"

"Can we t-talk? In, uh, private?" I ask him, grabbing my elbow. He nods and turns around.

"I'll be back in a sec." He tells Roy and Corrin. They nod and Ike turns back, closing the door behind him.

"So, what's happened?" He asks.

"U-Um... There's this, uh, big thing that's trying to kill us all a-and they've been kidnapping people... W-We need some help to s-stop it." I tell him. Damn the whole stutter business.

"... What?"

"W-We need your help..."

"To fight some big thing that's trying to kill us all?" He repeats. I nod. "And you said it's been kidnapping people?"

"Y-Yeah... I nearly got taken."

He bites his lip and glances away.

"Marth's missing. He disappeared last night." Ike tells me, looking away. "He lives up on the third floor, and he wasn't there. He hasn't been, well, anywhere."

"I'm sorry..." I tell him. He nods slowly.

"I'm with you. I'll try and get the others, as well."

"Th-Thank you so much." I say, laughing breathily in relief. "Um, we're saving th-the people that we're, uh, taken, too."

"Thank you. I should go now, cause Roy and Corrin are still waiting for me."

"Okay. Bye!"

"Seeya." He waves, re-entering the office.

-

I open the front door and find Ness waiting for me. He stands up a little too quickly and trips, catching the table on his way down.

"Did it go well?" He asks, regaining his composure.

"I-Ike agreed to help, and is-is trying to get his friends to help. Uh, M-Marth... Went missing." I tell him. He nods gravely.

"At least he won't be missing for long." Ness points out, leaving me with a question.

"Uh, when w-will we get them back?"

"As soon as we can get the teleporter up and running. Speaking of which... Rock! You ready?" He yells.

"What?" His muffled voice can be heard from behind his door.

"I said are you-!" He turns to me before speaking again. "I'll be right back."

He enters Rock's room to tell him the deal face to face. He soon emerges with the boy and points to the door.

"Onwards!" He yells.
