"Where?" He felt like he couldn't say more than one word. Phil held his hand tighter, almost as if he was scared Dan would let go.

"Back to your father." She simply stated as she got up to put her now empty plate into the sink.
As soon as those words left her mouth everything seemed to go in slow motion for Dan as he let go of Phil's hand and stood up, slamming his hands onto the table.

"I am not going back to him!" He yelled, his voice full of anger. Phil's eyes began to fill with fear as he looked up at his angry significant other. They were so happy just minutes ago.
His grandmother didn't have an answer to that.
"We're going to school," He simply stated, clenching his teeth as he grabbed Phil's hand, dragging him back to his room.

Dan's heart fell a bit as he looked into Phil's scared eyes, them slightly glossed over.

"I'm not going anywhere." Dan simply stated, grabbing both of Phil's hands and pulling them to his chest.
"Grab your things, let's go." He said, grabbing his bag. He went to his closet and began throwing various clothes into it and some money he had hidden away.

"We're not going to school are we?" Phil said with a quiet voice as he grabbed his own bag and threw it over his shoulder. Dan turned around, zipping his bag up and walked towards Phil.

"Do you trust me?" He asked, his eyes still having a hint of anger in them. The truth was, Dan didn't trust himself. He didn't know what he was doing and why but in his mind he decided that he doesn't want to be there anymore and if he can't get away by killing himself, he's running away. Far away.

"I do," Phil said after a while of just staring at Dan's eyes.

"Good," Dan said, grabbing Phil's hand and dragging him to the now empty kitchen. He walked over to the fridge and blindly searched through a basket that was on it with his free hand. He pulled out some car keys.

They both kept completely silent as they walked to the parking lot in front of the apartment building. Dan unlocked an old-looking car and got in. That was the moment when Phil stopped.

"Who's car is this?" He asked Dan while standing frozen outside of the car.

"My grandmother's, she hasn't drove for years though, I bet she won't even notice it's gone." He said, opening the passenger's door from the inside for Phil to get in. "You trust me?" He asked Phil once again, as he saw Phil doubting their actions. He didn't want Phil to trust him, he wanted him to leave and forget about him. He just wanted to leave and never come back, but he couldn't get himself to leave Phil. Phil just got in the car without saying a word, silently putting his bag onto his lap.

With the click of Phil's seatbelt Dan drove off. There was a tense silence between them the whole ride. None of them really knew what they were doing, or what they were going to do.
