A/N: This was based off a more innocent version of play date by Melanie Martinez but it kind of drifted off.... oh well

~Third POV~

'She's only leading me on. Ignore her. She doesn't feel the same, she's only  being kind.' A loud sigh erupted from the boy as he stood outside Y/N's house. He knocked on the door, despite his better judgment. A H/C girl opened the door, "Sup Richie." She walked upstairs leaving the front door open. Richie walked in and closed the door before following her. When he entered Y/N was sitting on the bed. He sat down next to her.

They talked for hours or at least that's how she saw it. Anyone else would assume they were a couple. Without realizing Y/N would flirt with the boy next to her, ALL the time. It didn't take long for Richie to fall in love her. She was downright gorgeous, careless, and a huge badass but oblivious. On the flip side, Y/N felt somewhat the same. She had feelings for the trash-mouth, though she didn't realize she had them. As they ran out of things to talk about it grew strangely silent.

They always had something to say. Though it seemed as if talking every chance they got, had worn down the list of things to talk about. Richie's heart started to race as he decided to tell Y/N how he felt. "So.." He breathed out and regretted saying anything as the word pierced the silence. (like Beverly pierced Pennywise)

She looked over at him, hoping he had something to talk about. She hated the silence, hence why she enjoyed talking with the brown-haired boy so much. He panicked and slammed his lips against hers. As fast as it happened it had stopped. He became scared, scared he had ruined a perfect friendship. She took a moment (closer to a minute) to process this.

By the time she realized her feelings Richie had assumed she didn't feel the same. He got up , Y/N grabbed his hand to pull him back. "You can't kiss someone and leave." This left him confused, did that mean she liked him back? She kissed his cheek before encasing him in a hug, which he returned. It was safe to say they had something else to waste away the days with. (I mean cuddling by the way)
