Dawn looks over her right shoulder in the direction of the whistling. She recognized the whistle as that number hunters. It's the guy from the mall! Dawn doesn't move from where she's standing.Dawn decides again it's best to pretend that she's "apart" of the time freeze.
Yuma and Astral begin to duel number hunter, which they find out that his name is Kite and the duel is not looking good for Yuma. No matter what he does, Kite always seems to be two steps ahead of him.
Kite summoned two number cards on his first turn. Numbers 10 and Number 20. It is now Yuma's turn and he puts a number face-down in defense mood. Since that's all that Yuma could do, he ended his turn. Kite then attacks Yuma with his numbers and he looses more of his life points. Kite then uses his numbers to summon his galaxy eyes photon dragon.
"I end my turn. Make your move." Says Kite
"Is there really a move to make? Utopia is the only monster that stands a chance against this guy. But to summon Utopia, I'll need to summon two monsters. So I guess I'd better get busy!" Yuma exclaimed
"Oh Yuma, please be careful, I don't think I can stand staying still for much longer." Dawn worries
Yuma uses his two monsters to summon Utopia.
"Galaxy eyes has 3000 attack points, and Utopia only had 2500. But even so, I want to attack." Yuma says
"Have you gone mad?" Astral questions
"Maybe so, but there's a method to my madness. I'm gonna end this duel right here right now. Cause I'm feeling the flow. I activate the spell card blistering winds!" Yuma exclaimed
Yuma attack fails on Kite and now he's more fired to win. Yuma feels like he can't do anything now except run. After Yuma's monster got destroyed, Kites little robot spoke about how Yuma would loose his number card and his soul if he lost the duel.
"My soul? Wait a minute, is that what happened to the guy at the mall?" Yuma whispers to him "He looked dead because he lost his soul?"
"You dimwit! I already brought this kid under the ropes and you bring that up! What's wrong with you?" Kite yells
"S.Sorry..won't...h..happen again." His robot responds
"What's this about souls? Tell me!" Yuma states
"I suppose there's no point in keeping it a secret now. So, okay. My method for taking a number is, somewhat, forceful. So forceful that when I take it, that individual soul as well!" Kite explains
"What do mean take their soul? Where does it go?" Yuma asks
"Don't know. And come to think of it I really don't care." Kite says
"Don't care!" Yuma says in frustration
"But you better care, because if you loose this duel we are both done for." Astral reminds him
"N...No way! Kite is going to take my brothers soul! No there's no way. He's just a child, surely he has a family. But if only I could do something to stop him." Dawn says to herself
Kite attacks with his galaxy eyes and Yuma is down to 1500 life points now. Yuma is now struggling to even stand. Kite is mopping the floor with him. He summons Utopia back, but needs to come up with a new strategy. Yuma comes up with a new plan and summons Number 17 Laviaton Dragon. He uses a spell card to try and attack Kite directly, but he again fails. And now Kites Galaxy eyes has 6500 attack points now.
"We are done for!" Yuma shouts
"No we are not." Astral says back
"But what now?" Yuma asks
