Bea Messina
I didn't want to come to school today, but of course I had to.
I rode my motorcycle to school today and stopped at Starbucks before being late for home room. Mr. Williamson wasn't very happy, I brought him a coffee to though, then it was all good.
"Bea, you should try out for the team, we need the extra man-power if we're gonna beat the knights this year." Noah says as we sit in the cafeteria at the typical centre table.
Girls were literally glaring holes into my head, I could feel their laser focus on me, they were just jealous, they had seen me arrive with Ace this morning.
"First of all, I'm not a man. Secondly, I don't want to be the only girl on the team too, every girl in this school is already glaring holes into my head as it is. Can you imagine what they'd do if they found out we go on school trips and stay in hotels together?" I ask fiddling with my water bottle on the table.
"Fuck what they think, I think it will be awesome to have you on the team and it'll definitely rattle the opposing team, ruin their ego a bit." Weston says chiming into the conversation.
I sigh and look to Ace who seems to be listening silently, "What do you think?" I ask, waiting for his answer.
He thinks about for a minute and then answers, "You should do it, you'll probably be starting quarter back, I agree with Weston, it'll ruin their egos to get destroyed by a girl." He smirks and looks down to his untouched sandwich.
"You know, for football player you don't eat a lot. Speaking of which what's for supper tonight?" I ask, getting completely off topic.
We've had pizza or Chinese food every day this week so far. They all shrug and look to me. "Noah, Luke and Rylan your coming with me grocery shopping. We'll meet back at the house and I'll let you guys ride in the Devil. We need real food in that house, it's not healthy to eat pizza and Chinese food all the time."
"See, this is why she's the smart one, it's a good thing she's strong and people listen to her. It's not like I suggested we get groceries last week, oh wait, I did!" Isaac says rolling his eyes.
I giggle and take a few bites from the sandwich I've been poking at all lunch.
"If you want to try-out, you'll have to do it next block. Coach only has a few blocks of try-outs every year and you have to know someone to know when they are." Noah says shoving his water bottle in his bag that's resting on the floor at his feet.
"You guys wanna come watch?" I ask doing the same.
"If there's a reason to skip class, hell yeah." Luke answers smiling widely.
I shake my head and they all throw their lunch and water bottle back in their bags. They all nod to each other and stand at the same time.
We walk out of the cafeteria in a hoard, I see a few girls glaring at me and I smirk, sending a wink towards them as I pass.
