Chapter 42

Next Friday, 1 day before the wedding

Finn had to tell Carole to get a nice outfit for tomorrow, he didn't tell her that it was for the wedding, he said that she was going out to dinner at a really fancy place and that she had to be top notch

Little did she know it was he dream come true, Finns wedding

He got to Carole's and went in, he was buzzing. He went into the living room to see Chloe and Carole talking

"Hey mom" he said as he kissed her cheek, Chloe didn't say anything to him so he didn't say anything to her

He sat down and spoke to Carole

"So mom, tomorrow I'm taking you out, I don't care what you say... you need to wear a really nice outfit tho, not that you wouldn't look lovely but please wear a really nice outfit. It's a my treat for you. Be ready for about no later than 12, the reservation is at 12:30 so be ready ok?" He explained

"Oh ok, you don't need to darling" Carole smiled at her son

Chloe sat there and for once never said anything, she asked if her and Finn could speak alone in the kitchen, finn was weary but done it anyway

"I got the invite" she stated in a low tone

"What? Invite for what?I never sent any invites" he said

"Well I got one, for your wedding tomorrow.... I wanted to run it past you if I would be welcomed there since you know me and you are never on good terms" Chloe asked as she looked up at her brother

Rachel must have sent her an invite, just why? He loved her so much that he had to say yes to her

"Fine" he said through gritted teeth

"I'm sorry you know, for being a bitch towards you, it was hard without you and when the cancer thing came along it killed me"she said softly, this was completely new to finn as she was never this nice to him under ANY circumstances

He did feel something tho, he couldn't deny it... he did have a soft spot for Chloe, but rarely ever noticed it because she was always bitching

But finn hadn't heard from her in years, as he was down that dark ass path like 3 months ago... Rachel changed him for the better and he is happy

"I forgive you" he sincerely said as he tilted his head down to see her, she was crying. He wrapped his arms around her and took her in for a hug

She hadn't hugged her big brother in ages, she never was a hugging person whereas Finn was, he was hard as a rock but as soft as silk on the inside

She slightly sobbed into his chest, he was soothing her by running his hand up and down her back and telling her that it was ok and that he forgave her

Just then Rachel phoned him, Chloe was about to release from the embrace as Rachel phoned but he wrapped his arm around her tighter

F- hey babe whats up?
R- finn the wedding is tomorrow and I have your sisters dress here
F- dress for what?
R- for you! Your sister silly
F- she's a bridesmaid?
R- yes! Bring her here to get it
F- ok ok Calm down mrs shout at finn
R- I'm sorry it's just I'm paranoid and jumpy
F- I was only joking, it's actually quite sexy when our mad
R- shut up finn! I'll see you two when you get here
F-wait how did you know that I made up with he-

She ended the Phone call as he was asking about that

Chloe looked up at him and asked who was on the phone

"It was Rachel and you need to come with me to mine" he said as they walked out of the kitchen

"Wow no bickering" Carole stated amused

"We made up, for the sake of you" Chloe said looking at finn smiling

"Listen mom just remember what I told you for tomorrow, me and Chloe need to go and get a few things for.." he trailed off

"You" Chloe chimes in finishing off his sentence

Finn thanked her by nodding his head as they walked out and said goodbye to Carole

"I'll be ready! Don't worry! By 12!" Carole shouted as finn and Chloe got in the car and left

"It's a good thing your doing for her" Chloe said whilst finn was driving

"Who? Mom?" He asked

"No puck" Chloe said sarcastically

"All she ever talked about was your wedding day, she is really sick finn" Chloe said slowly

Finn exhaled and came to a red light causing the car to stop

"I know she's sick but let's make the most of the time she has left.... it could be 4 days, it could be 4 months... we don't know but we need to make everyday count for her. And when the time comes we need to be strong, she's fighting right now and making us proud" he said trying to hold it together

Chloe kissed the back of his hand and smiled

"I love you big bro"

"I love you too little sis"
