I'm sorry it took so long to update, Author-chan was being lazy.

The sound of beeping filled your ears, you were scared but your heart seemed to be going at such a slow rate. It felt like it wasn't even there at all. The last thing you remember was being hit, and a grey mass running towards you, you weren't sure who it could be, you couldn't think or move let alone rationalize what had happened.
You had just wanted to save everyone, be the person you once thought you could be, but it seemed once again you were the one being saved. The creaking of a door pulled from your thoughts and you heard a murmur of voices you couldn't quite make out. As you strained to listen, you pulled parts of the conversation.
"...in horrible condition..."
"Yes...she...make it..."
"Why...do this.."
And then a pang of familiarity hit your ears, the last one belonged to someone you had known, and then it all hit you, what had happened. It was Jiren. Before the blast had hit you entirely, Jiren rushed in front of you, picked you up and had flown away from the blasts radius. He had saved you, but at the moment you had no other answers and you could only wish you knew why. Sleep overtook you again.

2 weeks later...
Your wounds weren't completely healed yet, but they were enough to be able to move around and you had often asked the nurses to take a walk around the corridor, in which they always insisted one of them to come with you. You hated it here, at this small poorly established hospital, it was a recovery center they had sent you to after all your major wounds had been taken care of. The other hospital you had been at was starting to overflow with patients, it seemed the monster you fought that day wasn't alone, there had been 3 and you couldn't even take out one. You were angry at yourself, all your life you had tried so hard, and you were tired. Tired of trying to make things better it had only ever made things worse.
Tears started to flow from your eyes, staining your cheeks and a painful lump grew in your throat as you sat by watching the town from the hospital window, the one you couldn't save.
"Why are you crying?" Asked a voice, shocked you turned around hastily wiping your cheeks and answered,
"Jiren..why are you here?" Clearing your voice, you were met with stone eyes and a emotionless face, he didn't answer. So you decided to answer his question first, hoping to get some sort of response instead of the still awkwardness that had surrounded the air.
"I couldn't save everyone, I couldn't save anyone. That's why I was crying because it seems to no matter how hard I try--"
"Stop."
"Just trying to do something won't get you anywhere, you have to believe and do it. Hope and trying doesn't win the war. Determination and actions win, and you won't ever with a attitude like that."
Red and Black filled your vision again but this time it was just Jiren. His hands on your shoulders, and his chest was all you could see, he was so close that you could only see the colors of his uniform and nothing else. He had pulled you closer, hugging you and for once you didn't mind the physical contact you had hated so much. You hugged back and the will to cry had been gone, you weren't sad anymore. You didn't have the time to self-pity, you had to find your own beliefs and figure out what you had wanted.
And at the moment all you wanted was him.
-----------
I hate this so much, I feel like I made the reader a bit too cry-baby like. Sorry. And I kinda rushed into the Jiren hug thing, should I make a part three, where you learn a bit about reader-chan perhaps and maybe more of a Jiren x reader then reader x nothing lol.
