Chapter Eighteen

Emma's POV

When they called me from the hospital saying that Catherine had a nerve break down and her blood pressure increased highly, I couldn't control myself, the crystal vase fell from my hand. I was panicking because she was doing great this morning. I didn't understand what happened to her.

I love her. she is my sister from another mother... and my best friend.

I don't know how I managed to get to the hospital, all I know is I broke many driving rules.

She was awake when I asked her about how she was, she didn't say anything just watched me with tears falling down on her cheeks.

I knew who did that to her it's the playboy Calvin. Who else can be!

This past weeks I tried to keep her away from him and advice her to dump him, before he does but she refused to listen. she was in love with him... it was to late.

"Is she okay ?" I asked the doctor when I was on my way back to Cathy's room, after I left to bring an orange juice for her she needs some energy.

"Yes everything is stable but she had a break down and she need to relax and I advice her to see a psychological doctor " he said looking so serious.

"She is not crazy! " I shouted at him.

"No she is not. but if she didn't get the help that she needs, am sure she will be... She have this issue with suppression apparently " he replied.

I knew he is right, because she never talk about her emotions and her problems. because she told me once about her mother and never said how she felt about it plus she has a problem with trusting people.

"Do you recommend anyone? " I asked him.

"I will give you Mr Gregory's number. he is the best therapist I knew " he replied.

"Thanks doctor, I appreciate this... But when I can take her home? " I asked.

"Tommorow, just in case her blood pressure increased again " he replied.

"Okay thanks again " I thanked him and went back to her room.

"What the fuck are you doing here asshole? " I asked Calvin when I saw him by the door going to enter.

"WHAT! Emma I know I messed up everything but I need her to listen to me and to give me another chance " he replied he look regretted but I don't believe him.

"Leave now before I call the security... She is not okay and if she saw you her condition will become worse " I said shouting.

"Please Emma!! " he begged.

"Calvin leave her alone! I really don't want to call cops to drag you out of here " I replied trying to calm down.

"This is not done yet! am not giving up on her, I will stay away just till she recover " he said leaving.

After one day

When we went back to the house,  Catherine was better. she talked to me and she was looking sad but strong.

"You know you need to tell me about what happened? " I replied pressing on her to speak up.

"Calvin is already engaged and he was laying on me this whole time plus I found him with his fiancee kissing " she said like it's not a big deal.
She always hide her emotions.

"What an asshole! Do you want me to go and kick his ass? " I asked her clearing the mood a bit and then I heard a knock on the door.

Catherine's POV

When Emma opened the door and my eyes met his, I remembered that I love him, I felt my body tingles.

A part of me wanted to be in his arms and the other part want to forget that he knew him.

"Cathy! Baby am sorry " he said.

"Leave you jerk " Emma shouted at him trying to close the door but he is much stronger than her.

"Emma I can handle this" I sais stepping close to the door.

"Calvin I don't wanna see you again... Or even talk to you, just leave me alone and leave " I said avoiding making eye contact with him.

He tried to touch my Cheek but I stepped back.

"Babe am sorry, I didn't want to lie on you and hurt you, it's just I was afraid of losing you " he replied.

"But you did, I hate you so much... I thought you was working hard while you was fucking your fiancee in your office... You was telling me that I should leave and not wait for you because you have extra hours of work but no! it was only to keep me away from knowing the real you " I replied.

I felt my whole body shivering eagerly want to touch his... But I can't do that.

"It's not like that. I was forced to do it and she was the one who kissed me -" I cut him off by slamming the door in his face.

"Babe don't do this! Please open the door! " he yelled.

"Everything was just a lie and I believed you how could you? " I can't do this anymore tears were falling down my cheeks.

"No Cathy everything was true, I do love you so much " he replied.

I wish I could tell him I do to and forgive him but it's not that easy...

"It's done, we are done! And I quit " I said before I burst out crying my heart out.

"Catherine give me another chance. I will fix everything. I won't give up on you! I won't give up on us " I can feel how regretted he is but his regret can't do anything to make things better.

I stood there hearing his footsteps fading away.

I feel a pain I never felt before.

"Cathy stop crying, everything will be okay " Emma said rubbing my back to sooth me.

I hugged her "no it's not " I replied.

"No you need to stop crying, am here for you and I will prepare a good bath for you with bubbles and all to relax a bit " Emma suggested.

She grabbed my hand leading me to the bathroom.

I known she is just trying to help me but it's not going to work.

I can't just relax after what happened.

I never admitted that I love Calvin like crazy, I can't forget about him in one night... I trusted him, I gave him my soul, my heart and my body. Why he wrecked me like that?
