Chapter 26

Catherine's POV :

Am so excited. Today is my first day of this new Job. Am ready for the new start.

I wore a black women suit and my heels... Dad said I look like some businesswoman.

I think it will make a good first impression... Even my doctor said am getting better since I've told him everything about me and Calvin, he said I am expressing my emotions easily. But I have to admit it, he is the one whose pushing me to express them with all his weird questions.

I had breakfast with dad and Emma and they both left early to their jobs and since am not working until nine, I stayed here reading Helen's book. The one that Calvin gave me.

I know I said I don't want anything to reminds me of him but this book is different.

And by the way Emma said that her boyfriend Javier is the male version of me, they've been dating for a week now ad she said that he is a good guy. she claimed that he hides his emotions and always seems mysterious. She even asked me how to deal with him. I felt like am crazy or something.
People always hide their emotions  when they don't actually trust people. So why all the judgments.

"Whose there? " I shouted asking whose knocking. It's probably just dad camed back.

And speaking of dad he is dating Stefanie officially now. They look so great together. Am so happy for him,  he deserves the best and Stefanie is the best.

As I opened the door, I couldn't believe my eyes... "What are you doing here? " I questioned. I never felt my eyes widening like this.

"I miss you like crazy. I called you and your phon--" I cut him off "leave. Please! " I demanded.

"Baby. Am so sorry! I love you. Please just give me only five minutes to explain everything. I will leave after that I promise you " Calvin begged.

At first I wanted him to leave so badly but now I must be strong and face my emotions and problems just like my therapist advised.

"Five minutes and you leave" I stated stepping aside to let him in.

"That engagement was arranged by my father and her father. It was a deal, when I marry her, her father will pay all the debts on the company. I was having a hard time trying to tell you but I couldn't... I feel so alive around you. I was so afraid to lose you --"

"But you lost me anyways " I cut him off feeling hurt and pained by him.

"I never meant to hurt you... I am now working on preventing the company from bankruptcy. And I called off that engagement but nothing of this matters, I only want you back. Catherine! I Love you. Damn it! " he claimed. His eyes were glowing with tears and his face was tensed.
He seems very honest.

He stepped forward and kissed me... I couldn't stop him, I couldn't fight the urge of touching him so I kissed him back and it's the biggest mistake ever.

I stepped back pushing him away. "Get out! " I yelled. Realizing what I was doing.

"Babe! " he whined.

"Just get out" I said opening the door for him.
He shacked his head and started begging again "I know that you still loves me. Please give us another chance!"

"I need some space. Calvin. Please! " I claimed.

"I will give you the space you need only for ten seconds, I can't stay away from you. Am not giving up"
He smirked, touching my cheek with his palm. And got out but before I closed the door he flirted saying "You look beautiful by the way with that short haircut "

I couldn't stand not to smile... I smiled.

I hate the way he effects me.

The kiss, his words and the way he still wants me melted my heart a bit.

I know that he loves and I do believe that he didn't want to be engaged. He wanted to be with me!

Deep down I know I forgave him already but I can't admit it.

I can't hugg him or kiss him and be with him like nothing happened. I will always doubt him.

I love him still...

Later :

"Congratulations Miss Walden " Elizabeth from the commercial  team stated.

She told me that she will be my boss from now on. She is so beautiful, skinny with hazel eyes and brown hair. She is probably in her late twenties. She looks strict but kind.

She showed me my desk it's in the end. It's an open work place, desks attached to each other but only the commercial team.

This company includes three teams, the commercial the one who make ads, posts and market for hotels spa's perfumes all kinds of things. And the publishing team. Also the transaction team the one who chooses the deals.

And yes it's the one that Calvin's friend runs, Andrew Cole.

"Whoa! " he yelled as I almost fell on the ground when I barge into him.
I was taking a round in the company and that painting of a woman on a gold thrown captured my sight and this is how I didn't see him.

"Am sorry! " I apologized.

"You need to stop running into me like this" he claimed.
The same oceanic blue eyes, the same well shaved beard and the same man from that day.

"Oh! It's you again! " I almost shouted in disbelief.

"Yeah it's me. And you must be the new employee " he said. Smirking reminding me of someone I met this morning.

"Yes. You work here too? " I questioned.

"Mr Cole I need you to sign this contract before the meeting " another employee stated holding a folder of papers.

Wait a second! He called him Mr Cole?
OMG! Why I always meet my bosses before I actually start working for them?

This shit is crazy!

He signed the papers and turned to me as that guy left us.
"You are Andrew Cole! My boss" I stated feeling awkward.

"Exactly" he claimed smiling brightly.

"I have a meeting now, maybe I will see you later, or you will run into me later" he claimed almost laughing.

"I will make sure that I will" I laughed.

He is so charming and don't really act like a boss. He is funny and humble.

I went back to my desk. It's a bit small but I fit in here.

"Elizabeth said you need to prepare a commercial presentation for this perfume in two days " an old lady ordered. Handing me a file and a perfume phial.

"Okay. thanks" I thanked her taking them.

"Am Silvia by the way but everyone here calls me V " she introduced her self giving me a hand to shack.

"Am Catherine and you can call me Cathy " I shacked her hand.
