Seven

~~Hope's Point Of View~~

Watching Gilliett walk away, I turned away from the front door only to yelp as I was lifted off my feet and draped over a shoulder. Zander laughed as he started walking out of the house letting the door close behind us. The only thing I could do was grip his belt and hang on.

"I had warned you I was going to kidnap you today. Your brother has his tea to help ease him and now peace and quiet." Zander set me down on the passenger seat of his car.

Folding my arms, I didn't pull my feet into the car yet. "What if I don't want to be kidnapped?"

He leaned down smirking. His nose touching mine as his forearms rested along the frame of the car around the door. "Oh but I can kidnap you without your permission. It wouldn't be kidnapping if you had a say in it." Swiftly he got my feet inside the car and the door closed before I could protest.

He slid along the hood of his car and into the driver's seat putting it in gear. I raised an eyebrow with my arms still crossed over my chest. "And where are you taking me? You better be paying as my money is back inside with my cellphone."

"When do I not pay for things?" Zander laughed. "And I'm not saying where we're going as it's a surprise."

"I'm still a little upset about what you did last night to Gilliett."

He pouted. "I thought we made up last night after you came back." Then he grinned. "I loved that fiery look you had in your eyes when you railed into me. It was simply amazing."

I humphed. "Just don't make it a habit to do that to every guy that smiles at me. Gilliett is just a friend and my old mentor. He helped me understand what I want to be and has helped me grow as a witch and as a person."

He nodded. "I know, but like I said last night, I got jealous and may not be able to control myself if it happens again. You mean the world to me."

I sighed. "I know that and that you just want to protect me from anyone who could hurt me like I was hurt before, but Zander, you have to let me have my guy friends. You get me to yourself a lot now. Even when my brother's around, you love to steal my time."

"You know I can't help it." He gave me a quick faux innocent look before looking back at the road. "You're just so perfect I can't help wanting you all to myself even from your big brother."

Another sigh. "You just need to show a little more restraint."

He gave a sharp nod. "Got it. No more clingy Zander." He smirked and winked at me at a red light. "I'll just horde you all to myself today and learn to share you from tomorrow on."

We started moving again as I laughed at Zander who smiled proudly to himself. I just relaxed and enjoyed the ride to wherever Zander was taking me. The fast speed of the car like he always drove made my heart quicken as it always did.

My eyes grew wide with excitement. "You brought me here?"

Zander grinned. "Yep." He popped the 'p' as he hoped out and came around to my side. "I thought you'd like to be treated like a fairy tale princess today." He helped me out and started to do a guy style 'skip' as he pulled me along toward the castle looking building in front of us.

Inside, he pulled me over to the store section of the medieval dinner theatre where a squire looking guy stood watching all the people milling about. When he turned and saw Zander, he smiled and did a bow. "Greetings your magnificent highness. All has been arranged if you just follow me." He rose and let us threw a set of currents that two guards in armor held open who were guarding it from anyone who wasn't supposed to venture behind.
