Chapter One. *Nationals Part One out of Three*

Emily's P.O.V

We're on our way to Nationals right now. Ever since the studio burnt down, everyone has been rehearsing at mine and Riley's house. Its nice because mom and dad agreed to make time to come and see us. Riley and James got their duet back and I may not be in any routines but, we still have a group routine to perform if we make it to the final round. And, if we win that final round, WE WIN NATIONALS!!

"Okay, Okay. Everyone settle down please. We have a lot to cover before we go into the building." Kate says, getting everyone's attention.

Everyone quiets down and looks at her.

"It is just an honor that we made it this far! We may be missing Hunter BUT we do have a replacement.. Not everyone will be happy with the replacement we found BUT you will have to deal with it." Kate says.

"Who is the replacement?" Riley asks.

"You'll see when we get to the building." Kate says.

~Half An Hour Later~

We arrive at the building where Nationals is being held and we get off the bus. Everyone grabs their dance bags then walks inside.

Riley's P.O.V

"Okay, So. Here is our replacement for Hunter" Kate says.

Charlie walks in and everyone smiles.

"CHARLIE!" Everyone screams. All I can do is.. smile. I mean, besides his singing, Charlie is a really good dancer. LIKE SUPER GOOD.

"Okay. Michelle, Eldon. You guys are up first for solos. Then its the small group and then the duet. The second round will be the routine we did for Regionals and then the third round will be the new routine we came up with after Daniel left. Eldon, you will be going up against Daniel. Don't stress yourself, Okay? Just do your best. Same with you Michelle. You're going up against a girl from Elite. Don't stress yourself. Just do your best and try to make eye contact with the judges at all times. Amanda, Thalia and Giselle, You guys should go get into your dance wear for the small group. James and Riley, Go practice in the practice room they have here. I booked it for 20 minutes. Use the time well. No making out you two." Kate says. We all nod and go wherever we have to go.

James and I walk into the practice room and practice our duet then walk out when our time is up. We walk back and wish both Michelle and Eldon good luck on their solos.

Michelle's P.O.V

I'm about to go on stage for my solo. I'm so nervous!  All I can think about is Hunter and how he's not here. He's in Jail.

"NEXT UP WE HAVE MICHELLE FROM THE NEXT STEP! GIVE IT UP FOR HER!" The announcer yells as I walk on stage. The crowd cheers. I get in my spot and start my routine.

Eldon's P.O.V

"NEXT UP, IN THE MALE SOLOIST CATEGORY WE HAVE.... ELDON!" The announcer yells as I walk on stage. I can only think about one thing. Michelle. She's been talking a lot about Hunter later and how she's worried about him being in jail. BOO HOO.

I walk off stage once I'm done and watch the small group.

Riley's P.O.V

"WILL THE NEXT STEP, ELITE DANCE COMPANY, STUDIO ONE, SEEDS AND DANCE ACADEMY PLEASE JOIN ME ON STAGE."

We walk on stage and stand beside Elite. I glance over and see Amanda standing with Elite. THAT TRADER!!!!!

"AND THE GROUPS GOING ONTO THE SECOND ROUND ARE..... ELITE DANCE COMPANY." The crowd cheers.

"STUDIO ONE" The crowd cheers even louder.

"AND.... THE NEXT STEP!" We all just up and down on stage as our studio name is called. The crowd cheers louder than they did for Elite and Studio One.

"Here is how the second round goes. You guys will perform the routines that got you here. The routines you took to regionals. You will perform them in front of the judges and the crowd. The Judges will then score your performances. If the judges cant agree on the same scores, they will then ask a few people from the audience to help them judge the groups and their technique." Some lady says.

Everyone nods.

"You now have 24 hours to get your routines perfect for the show tomorrow. That is all. Thank you."

We all walk off stage and I walk over to Amanda

"YOU'RE A TRADER! I KNEW YOU WERE WITH ELITE!" I scream in her face.

"WHATEVER, RILEY. ELITE IS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER THAN THE NEXT STEP." Amanda screams back.

"THEN EXPLAIN US WINNING REGIONALS YOU LITTLE WHORE!" I scream.

"Woah, Riles.. Come on.." James says, wrapping his arms around me. I push him away and continue to glare at Amanda.

Kate comes over and looks at us.

"GIRLS. Stop!. What is going on here?!"

"Why don't you ask Amanda?" I say, walking away.

"Amanda?" Kate asks.

"Alright, fine. I'm the one who burnt down the studio but made it look like Hunter. Why? Because that was the only way Elite could win Nationals. If you guys didn't have a dance studio, then you guys would lose because you haven't rehearsed." She says.

I roll my eyes.

I KNEW IT! I JUST... KNEW IT!

A/N Here is the update I forgot to give you guys. I seriously hope you guys enjoy this book because it is the LAST book of the series! There are 3 parts to Nationals. This is the first part. The second part will be posted tomorrow after The Next Step Mid-Season Finale.
