Chapter Three Nationals Part 3 outta 3

Riley's P.O.V

We have just moved onto the third and final round of nationals. Studio one has moved on as well and Elite didn't make it. They got a 72 out of 80. We beat Studio One by one point. 78 out of 80 is the score we got and Studio One got 77 out of 80. It was close, actually. Right now, We're all practicing the routine that we're performing for the final round. We've been practicing for about 5 hours now and we only have an hour left untill the show starts. We had 6 hours to rehearse!! That's crazy!

"ALRIGHT! LET'S GO OVER IT AGAIN!" I hear Emily scream at the people who were sitting on the bench, drinking water. James walks over to me and kisses my cheek before walking out on stage. James and I have a weird relationship now. We date here and there. We fight like we're brother and sister but date like boyfriend and girlfriend.

"RILEY LETS GO!" Emily screams at me. I sigh and get up, walking over to the rest of the group. It feels so weird having Daniel back in the group. Hunter always had his place but since he's gotten arrested for 'burning down the studio', it hasn't been the same. Wait. Did I just admit that I miss having Hunter on the team? Noo. I couldn't have.

"5 6 7 8" Michelle yells and all start dancing. Emily stops us minutes later and smiles at us.

"Guys, I have an amazing feeling that we will totally win this!" She says.

"ALRIGHT. STUDIO ONE AND THE NEXT STEP, PLEASE COME BACK STAGE. THE SHOW IS ABOUT TO START!!!" Someone yells and everyone runs back stage. We wish Studio One good luck and they smile and say the same to us.

"Welcome, everyone! This is the final round of Nationals. Theses two groups waiting backstage, have only had 6 hours to rehearse the routine that they are performing! Please welcome, Studio One and The Next Step!" We all run on stage and stand in a group. Some of the girls smile at James and I. I smile back.

"Alright. Here is how this works. You guys will perform a routine that you have performed before. If the judges like both of routines they see, it will be a tie. In this case, You will then have 15 minutes to prepare a different routine. The judges will then decided who has won. The catergories are as followed: Most Points for group routine, Most creative routine, Costumes, Technique and the way you guys dance as a group. Let's start with Studio One." We all walk off stage and watch Studio One perform. Then we go on and perform. Minutes later, we're all called back on stage for the results.

"Judges, the results please."

One of the judges stands up and nods.

"This was very tough. Both studios have gotten high points in all the catergories that were listed. But, we have chosen a winner. Which means, you will NOT be performing another routine for us this evening."

"And, the winner we chose is....."

The audience goes silent and everyone on stage is looking at the judge that was talking.

He's about to open his mouth when another judge taps his shoulder and whispers something in his ear.

"I have made a mistake. It looks like the rest of the judges want to see another routine from each group. So, you guys now have 15 minutes to make up a routine. The timer clock on stage will go off when time is up. Please head back to stage when you hear the buzzer. Thank you." He sits down.

We walk off stage and start planning a routine.

~15 Minutes Later~

We're all on stage waiting for Studio One to come back when their coach walks on stage.

"We are sorry to say that we can no longer complete against Next Step Studio. One of our dancers broke her arm doing a backflip and we don't have a replacement." She looks over at us and smiles. "Congratulations on winning you guys. We can have another battle once our dancer is healed enough. Thank you for being so sweet and kind to us. We wish you guys the best in the future." She walks off stage and they help the girl onto the bus parked out back.

"Well, I guess the Next Step Studio wins!"

We all look at each other and start screaming. James hugs me tightly and I hug him back.

Michelle and Eldon look at each other and sort of hug each other. Emily hugs a couple of people then hugs Eldon when he comes over. Michelle comes over and hugs James and I.

This is just the beginning of the future for The Next Step Studio.

A/N Sorry for not updating for awhile guys! I've been camping with friends and had NO wifi whats so ever. Plus, I've had a HUGE writers block with this book! But, Hopefully u guys enjoy this update!
