I run up to my room and find Grayson sat on my bed.
"So tell me how it went" He wiggles his eyebrows at me.
"Fine" I say and take my hoodie off, leaving me in a black t shirt.
"Tell me what happened"
"We had pizza then walked around the town center for a bit" I shrug.
"When are you meeting him again" Grayson sat on the edge of the bed eagerly.
"He invited me over to his house tommorow"
"Wait but he moved away" Grayson says.
"Yeah 3 streets away" I chuckle.
"So they never really left" Grayson yells happily.
"I guess you could put it that way" I sit on the bed next to him. "Where's dad"
"I heard him leave about an hour ago" Grayson replies.
*the next day*
After I had finished my school work for the day I got ready to go to Ethan's house. I get dressed and put my hair into a high pony tail. I walk out of the bathroom and back into my room."Wow" I heard Grayson mutter.
"Shut up" I chuckle and put on my black vans. I grab my phone from the charger and put into my back pocket.
"I'll be back later" I give Grayson a hug.
"Don't kiss him yet" Grayson teases
"Ah you always ruin my fun"I laugh and Grayson laughs a long.
I leave and walk to Ethan's house. The birds were flying above me and they were chirping away. It was cold outside so I pull my jacket closer to my body. I watched as a toddler ran head of his parents while there daughter walked behind them a bright smile on her face. It brought back memories of when My mum, Dad me and Brandon would go on holiday to London nearly every summer.
While I was thinking I didn't realize I was already on Ethan's road. I keep a look out for 57. I walk past multiple houses that had kids bikes in the front yard and trampolines until I found 57. It was the only one on the street that nothing in the front yard but a car. The windows were a bright white and the grass was short with daisies growing all around. I push open the back gate and walk up to the door.
I take a deep breath and knock. A few seconds later I see a figure in the tinted glass on the door. Then the door flies open and reveals a girl who looks like she is in her early 20's.
"Hi, how can I help you" She asks politely.
"Oh Ethan invited me over"
"Ethan" She yells "he will be down in a sec"
Ethan comes running down the stairs. He was wearing black joggers and a plain white T shirt."Hey Jordyn" He says "come in"
The girl moves out of the way of the door and I step inside. She closes the door and walks back into the living room I'm guessing.
" That's just my sister Cameron, anyway, come to my room"
Ethan runs back upstairs and I follow him. Ethan walks into a room and shuts the door behind me.The walls were a dark blue colour and there were photos on his desk. One stood out and it was a picture of him and Grayson.
I looked at it and I got pulled out of my thoughts.
"This was taken a week before he passed away"Ethan sighs and picks it up from the desk. He looks at it then puts it face down onto window sill. Ethan looks at the floor then shakes his head.
"want to something""Like what" i ask and sit on the edge of his bed.
As Ethan was about to reply a middle aged woman who i'm guessing was his mum walked into the room.
"Ethan I washed your" She started then noticed me "Hi what's your name""Jordyn" I say nervously.
"Hi Jordyn, I'm Gra- Ethan's mum but please just call me Lisa" I noticed that she nearly said Grayson's name and I could see the pained look on her face.
Lisa looked at Ethan and then left the room. Ethan came and sat beside me.
"Sorry, about that" He chuckles slightly.
"Don't worry about it" I smile back at him.
"So what i was going to say before mum came in was do you want to go for a walk through the woods with me"
"Sure, but could we stop at mine first so I can get a coat because it's freezing out there" I say.
"Yeah, the woods is in front of your house anyway" Ethan runs his fingers through his messy hair. He quickly puts on his shoes and we go down stairs.
"I'm going out mum I'll be back later" Ethan calls as we leave the house.
"Stay safe" Lisa calls back as the door closes.
