Chapter 17

We arrive at my house and the car isn't in the path way so Dad must be out.
"Step inside it's cold" I say to Ethan and open the door with my key.

"I can wait outside" He persists.

"Ethan please I don't want you freezing out here" 

"Fine" He says and cautiously walks through the door like if he stood in the wrong spot the house would fall on him. I start to walk upstairs and look back at Ethan who was looking around the house.  I carry on upstairs and here Ethan shout up to me.

"I'm not staying down here by my self" And follows me upstairs while I laugh at him. I open my bedroom door and see Grayson just stood there.

"You're back early" He says.

"What are we here for again" Ethan says behind me. I watch Grayson face light up.

"I just need to get my coat" I reply.

"Hurry up" Ethan smiles "by the time we get across the road the sun will be setting. I go to my wardrobe and take my coat out and turn around. Grayson was standing in front of Ethan, while Ethan looked around probably thinking about all the memories he had.

"I'm ready"I say.

"Ok I have something cool to show you" Ethan walks out of my room.

"Thank you" Grayson hugged me.
"I had to do something" I whisper then follow Ethan out of the house. 

We walk across the road to the woods and I stop at the first tree. It got darker the further down the wood you went and there were thick bushes and trees in every corner you looked.

"Ethan I'm scared" I say.

"I'll protect you" Ethan holds out his hand for me to grab and i take it. His hands were warm compared to Grayson's and were a lot softer.

We walk through the woods and not once did I let go of Ethan's hand. We walked a bit more until we reached the trunk of a massive tree. I looked up and I saw some type of tree house.

"Ready to climb" Ethan lets go of my hand and stands on the first thick tree branch. The cold air hit my hand which was once warm from Ethan's hand, and I stick it in my pocket.

"I've never climbed a tree proberly before" I shout up to Ethan who was far up already.

"Just follow my lead" He stops and waits for me to climb up. I take a deep breath and then put my foot on the first branch then reach up with my hand to pull my self up.

I finally catch up to Ethan and then I realize how far up we were.
Luckily we were at the tree house so I climbed in after Ethan. It was a big tree house and had 4 bean bags dotted around the floor. Ethan lies down on the blue bean bag and i sit on the yellow one next to him. The sun was setting and we had a clear view of it.

"It's beautiful isn't"  Ethan says. I nod in agreement.

We sat in silence watching the sun set. A huge gust of wind came that made me shiver.
"Are you cold" Ethan asks.

"Y-Yeah" My lips were trembling.

Ethan moved up on his bean bag and motioned for me to sit next to him. I put my self beside him and he brings me close to his body. I could smell his cologne radiating from his clothes and it smelt the same as Grayson's.
I cuddle up into Ethan, his body heat warming me up. Ethan rested his head on top of mine and I felt something I haven't felt in a long time.
