Y/N's POV:
I continued my day after going to the 12th floor for Jungkook's necessities. My mind was still wandering though. I wanted to know what or who was in that isolated room.
I could try asking Jisoo or Dylan later at lunch and see if they knew anything about it. I decided I would do that. I needed to get back on task.
I needed to focus during Jungkook and I's session. They were always long. Once Jungkook got his ramen, he seemed normal. He didn't have to be on medication like the other patients.
More often than not, I wondered why Jungkook was put in here instead of just spending time in jail. I wouldn't question authority though.
From my many sessions with Jungkook, I have become a pro at making ramen. Since day one, he has told me how he wanted his ramen prepared and such, so I've always done so. I stopped by the cafeteria before I would go to his room.
I grabbed hot boiling water from the dispenser we had. I let the water pour into the bowl of open ramen.
Once it was just a bit over the fill line I stopped and mixed in the seasoning packet. I threw the trash away and put the lid back on to preserve heat. I grabbed a pair of chopsticks on my way out for him to use.
I always had to make sure they were wooden. Jungkook preferred they be wooden and I couldn't give him metal ones. The doctor that was taking care of Jungkook before hand made that mistake.
They had given him metal ones and this made Jungkook angry. He tried to stab the doctor with them out of anger. That doctor resigned from taking care of Jungkook a bit before I came.
After hearing that story, I was a little apprehensive about taking Jungkook as a patient.
But I was determined. I wouldn't give up on a patient no matter what. No matter what they did, I believed they all had goodness in them.
I walked back to the elevators and hit number 7. The elevator doors closed slowly leaving me in the confined space. The only thing I could hear was the annoying elevator music.
It was the most generic sound ever. It made me wonder if I could go insane having to listen to it so often. The elevator finally dinged and I got out of the once confined space.
As a doctor, we took elevators often, but they were a fear of mine that I was trying to overcome. I didn't like confined spaces.
I wasn't necessarily so bad as to call me claustrophobic, but to the point they made me uncomfortable. On days I really feel the anxiety, I took the stairs instead.
I walked to the right of the elevators. I scanned a door and opened it to see Jungkook laying in bed reading manga. He looked up from his book and saw the Ramen in my hands.
"Hi there, Y/N!" He greeted with his usual bunny smile. Jungkook was very sweet. Maybe it was because I brought him food, but he has always been very nice to me.
"Hi there, Jungkook!" I greeted back. I walked over to the small table he had in his room and set the ramen down.
He set his book down quickly and bounced from his bed to sit down at the small table. He thanked me for the food before he happily went to eating his ramen.
I sat down on his bed while I waited for him to finish eating. I looked over at the manga he was reading. Before I became a doctor, I often would read manga as well. But I didn't know what he was reading.
Once he finished he threw his trash away and got up to sit on the bed next to me. "How are you?" He asked. I smiled, "I'm doing fine, how are you doing Jungkook?" He smiled happily at me, "I got to eat so I'm doing great." I giggled, "Good, I want you to be happy."
I saw his cheeks blush pink from my words but I continued to ignore it. "So Jungkook, what manga were you reading before I came?" I asked.
He seemed embarrassed but he began telling me the name and what it was about. "It's about this guy who has super powers and he has to protect his planet. I really like it, he's really cool!"
I smiled as he talked enthusiastically about what he was reading. "Do you like reading manga, Y/N?" He asked. I nodded my head. "I used to read it back when I was younger."
He laughed, "You talk as if you aren't young anymore!" "I am still young but I have a job now, I don't have the free time." I told him.
"You're only a little bit older than me, right Y/N?" He asked. I nodded, "from the papers yes, I'm a few months older than you."
He seemed excited to get to know me more. But he always was talkative. He was shy but he talked a lot with me. Because of that, our sessions were always long.
"Y/N, can you stay longer, I want to continue talking to you..." Jungkook asked me. He looked so cute when he asked. His eyes were wide and fearful and his cheeks were dusted with a pinky color.
I nodded, "of course, you can take as much of my time as you want, after all I only take care of you an one other patient."
He nodded, he knew I took care of another patient. He asked me about Yoongi once but because I can't tell the other patients about others, I couldn't tell him much.
"What do you want to talk about, Jungkook?" I asked. He looked up at me and bit his bottom lip nervously.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, I'm here to help you with any of your problems." I told him while patting him on the back.
"I just kind of miss being outside." He said. I understood what he meant immediately. Who wouldn't miss seeing the outside world when they've been kept in a room by themselves.
"I know Jungkook, I wondered too when you would finally be able to at least go outside and have check ins, but I don't know."
His head hung in sadness, it hurt me to see him like that. Maybe I could ask the supervisor if once a week I could take him out for a few hours. It was something I'd want to do for him.
"Jungkook," I called his name. He looked up at me. "I want to do something for you, so I will see about letting you go outside once a week for a few hours."
His face lit up immediately in excitement, "really Y/N?!" I nodded. His arms came around me fast in a hug.
I was surprised at the sudden action but he was excited so I hugged him back. He finally pulled away with the biggest smile on his face I've ever seen.
"Thank you so much, Y/N."
I smiled and grabbed his hand to squeeze. "I told you, I'm here to make you happy or help you be happy."
"You definitely are helping me with that, Y/N."
I felt my heart swell at Jungkook's words. I got up to finally end our session. "Alright Jungkook, that's it for today unless you have anything else."
He shook his head. "Alright then I'll see you again tomorrow around 1, okay?"
He nodded his head happily. I ruffled his hair, "and I'll speak with with my supervisor after lunch."
His eyes sparkled with glee and I waved before opening the door and closing it behind me. I wanted to do this for Jungkook. I'd beg if I had to, I just wanted to see all my patients happy.
A/N: and we finally get to meet Jungkook and talk to him! Sorry I haven't updated in forever, I'm trying to get myself to update more often. But some interesting things will happen in the next chapter 👀. Look forward to it!
