{A/N} Wow. Really sorry about the delay for these two chapters. I was only supposed to be gone until Saturday. The wifi was absolute trash. I hope that these were worth the wait, I guess. Again, really sorry.

When I open my eyes again, I'm back in my bed. Though the nightmare was still terrifying, I'll admit that I actually enjoyed that one. It was like living through my own horror movie. Anti's not in my room as he usually is. After getting dressed, I make my way downstairs and find him sitting looking out the window. He seems distracted, so I quietly attempt to grab my things and make my way out the door. I'll just eat breakfast later.

As I reach the front door, my phone buzzes with a text notification. Anti's head snaps in my direction, eyes glowing. I curse under my breath and pull out the device that gave me away. I find a message from Lukas. I groan and open the phone.

Lukas: [Y/N] we can talk about this

I sigh and respond with annoyance and finality.

Me: you made your choice and i'm accepting that.

Lukas: i chose YOU

Me: you really didn't. and i don't wanna bring a bunch of drama into my life. that's the last thing i need rn.

Lukas: you wont. i broke it off with arendt

Me: you're probably lying but okay cool. guess you're single now.

Lukas: i did it because i wanna get back together

Me: i've made my point. just gonna put you on do not disturb. bye.

Lukas: [Y/N]!

True to my word, I quickly put the conversation on "Do Not Disturb". Only after a sigh of frustration do I notice Anti standing directly behind me, gazing over my shoulder. I jump, then move my phone out of his sight.

"...How much of that did you read?" I question.

"All of it– Who's Lukas?" Anti had quickly answered and dismissed my question, taking a step toward me with a stern expression.

"A guy from school," I dismiss his own question, eager to avoid getting back into that drama.

The moment the words exit my mouth, a searing pain rises from my chest. I double over in pain, but Anti tugs me back up.

"Who is Lukas?" Anti asks again.

"He's my ex. He cheated on me so I left him." The pain stops. "Jesus," I add under my breath.

"Arendt?"

"The person he cheated on me with. Why the sudden interest?"

Anti gives me room to breathe again, temper returning to normal. I eye him warily. He returns to the couch.

"No reason," he says.

I decide not to question his weird motives and quickly leave the house. His mood swings are seriously gonna be the death of me, I groan.

I head back to the shopping block, forgetting about Lukas. I find myself in a small cafe, grabbing a cup of coffee and a donut. Finding a quiet table by a window, I gaze out of it and let myself space out.

Near the end of my cup of coffee, I feel a pair of eyes on me. Looking up, I see that The Asshole, himself had just happened to enter the cafe I'm in. My eyes slide to the face of the person next to him, receiving an awkward glance away. I groan as one walks over, telling the other to find another table.

"Please don't sit here." My words fall on deaf ears as the boy takes a seat in front of me. "Okay, fuck you," I mutter to myself, then plaster on a smile. "Hi."

"[Y/N], why won't you just let me explain?" Lukas asks.

"Sure looks like you 'broke it off with Arendt,'" I roll my eyes.

"Hear me out–"

"No," I interrupt. "Actions speak louder than words, dickweed. Now go enjoy quality time with your new significant other. I won't bother you, and all I ask is that you don't bother me."

"You're not even giving me a chance!" Lukas growls.

"Don't make a big deal out of this," I try to calm him when we receive a look from the people sitting at a table nearby. "Just go be happy with Arendt. Don't drag me back into this."

"This is bullshit."

"What's really bullshit is the fact that you feel the need to drag me into a polyamorous relationship that I clearly don't want and that only you benefit from," I snap. Then, I give another fake smile. "Bye!"

I quickly stand and walk away, tossing my half-finished coffee. Arendt catches my attention and waves me over, out of Lukas's sight. I walk over to them, still a bit peeved from my talk with their boyfriend.

"What did you say to him?! I swear, if you hurt him I'll–" they whisper-yell. I shrug.

"Relax. I was just honest. I'm not trying to jeopardize your relationship," I say, raising my hands defensively. "Now, could you... never speak to me again? Okay, great. Bye."

Realizing the time, I begin to speed walk back to my house. The warning pain causes me to stop for a moment, stumbling back. Then, I quickly right myself and continue home, faster than before.

I'm going, I'm going, I think at the demon.

When I open the door, I'm greeted by a serious Anti. His expression is similar to the one he had earlier this morning – the lightly glowing eyes, mildly furrowed brow, crossed arms, and lack of his signature manic smile. I internally cringe, ready for more intrusive and weird questions. Closing the door behind me, I look up at him expectantly.

"What was that?" he asks.

"I'm assuming you mean Lukas harassing me," I begin, "and I will answer you completely honestly – I have no idea."

Anti stares at me for a moment, and I feel the 'A' begin to glow a light red, making me feel uneasy.

"Lukas walked in, I told him to leave, he snapped at me, and then I told Arendt that I wish them the best," I hastily summarize. "Again – How is this pertinent to your existence?"

"Don't think about it," he says.

I still don't understand why he's taken such an interest in Lukas and Arendt, but I shove the thoughts aside. I'm probably overthinking things, anyways. Raising my hands defensively, I stop questioning him. If I continue to pester Anti, he'll probably just get angrier.

Anti steps back, running a hand through his hair and muttering to himself quietly. I watch him, significantly jarred by his strange actions. The moment he turns away from me and ends the conversation, I escape to my room.
