As the week grew to an end, Gundham began getting more agitated with the world, as last period on the Thursday came along, he trudged into English, leaving his bag next to him.
"Alright. You all have a new project set, i'll read out the names, and you go sit next to your partner." their teacher stated, well, that's what he thinks; he wasn't paying much attention.
"Ibuki and Byakuya."
"Peko and Fuyuhiko"
"TeruTeru and Sonia."
"Nekomaru and Akane."
"Souda and Gundham."
he choked slightly.
"Excuse me?" he stood up, placing his hands on the desk. "Dear God no. Anyone but him." By now, the entire class was turned to face him. He didn't really like anyone, but anyone was better than Souda Kazuichi. He was annoying, bratty, considerate, caring, loud. Everything Gundham didn't want to work with.

Souda yelped once Gundham stood up, his body shaking as he started speaking. "He's so annoying. he's such a brat." Those words flowed through his mind for a while, though. Was he annoying? And a brat?

once Gundham had calmed down, the pairs moved, Souda standing up and slowly trudging over to Gundham. He sat down next to him, forcing a smile to his face. "h-hey..!"
"piss off, Kazuichi. Let's just get this stupid project over with. Don't talk to me."
"but if we're partners we need to talk to each other-"
"no, we don't. You do it by yourself."
he nodded, moving his chair closer to the wall, whimpering slightly.

a week or so had past, and he had been talking to Souda more, and crumbling more too. He was walking through a park, a cigarette between his lips, shoving a lighter back into his pocket. every few inhales, he coughed slightly, the smoke emitting from his lips. Honestly, he didn't know where he was going; or what he was going to do when he got there. He just needed an outlet, something to distract him, stop him from completely crumbling. And then he saw it; Souda Kazuichi, crying in an alleyway as he was being teased by some kids from another school. He ran over, yelling at the group, which ended up in a small fist fight, leaving him with a bloody nose and lip. He held a hand out to Souda, which Souda gladly took as he pulled himself to his feet.
"y-you-"
"yeah, I got them to leave you alone. It's no big deal."
"but- it is a big deal."
"nah."
the argument lead on for a while, before Souda was laughing, Gundham chuckling slightly. He walked to the side of the road again. "Anyway, tell anyone about this and i will kill you." he growled, before walking away. He shoved his hand in his pockets, the last of the smoke emitting from his lips and rising into the air, before disappearing. He walked home, a scowl playing on his face once again. He walked straight upstairs and to his mother's room, slamming his fist against the door. He only did this once, though, since he couldn't be bothered to argue with her today. That's another thing that he hated about her; she had the energy to argue, yet no energy to get out of bed. Pathetic, honestly. He didn't have any energy to get up in the morning, but he did. Just because he needed to take care of his sister, and take over the job of a parent; since she wouldn't do it herself.

He walked straight to the bathroom, turning on the shower and stepping in, brushing a hand through his hair as he felt the warm water hit the skin on his back. He then lost it; tears flowing down his face, his fist connecting with the walls a few times. He wanted to scream; to beg for help, but he couldn't. He couldn't let anyone know he was just like his mother; he would hate himself even more for that.
