Chapter 5

Nora woke in the middle of the night with dread, fear, guilt and pain mixing inside her blood flowing around her body causing an emptiness to rest inside her. She had snuck out and paid a visit to Katerina who she compelled to keep her arrival in Mystic Falls a secret, in fact to keep that Katerina knows anything other then that Nora is a vampire and close friends with the Salvatore's a secret. Including the compulsion.

With the sage crystal blocking all sounds from her bedroom she managed to shower this morning with out alerting anyone that she was awake, her hair styled half up and her signature red lip was a few shades darker then normal. Once ready for the day and the chest hidden in a new place she finally left her bedroom knowing that Elijah stayed until he had to leave and she had herd Damon talking to Elijah last night only about her and nothing else. She was glad that Damon is her friend and that he never said anything Elijah that she didn't want him to know.

Entering the living room she found Damon with two glasses of blood waiting for her and offered a faint yet noticeable smile as she joined him on the sofa
"How you feeling?" He asks handing one of the glasses over, she sipped it not leaving a lipstick print behind and sighed quietly, sadly.

"I don't know" she mutter's quietly "apart of me is relieved that he found out but....."

"It's okay" Damon wrapped an arm around Nora pulling her against his side as she sipped the drink in her hand  "you can stay with me today, I'm only meeting Andie for drinks at the grill" he offered.

"Thank you" she looked to him "for breaking my neck" she adds feeling Damon tense "I know you wouldn't have done it unless you had too, Damon. I trusted you with my secret for a reason, because I trust you"

"Stefan and Elena need to know your an original" Damon states hesitantly "none of the witch, vampire hybrid stuff just that your an original and you have a..... troubled history with Klaus and Elijah" Nora sighed into her glass before downing the rest and nods as she gulped.

"Alright, but I want to tell them. Caroline, Bonnie and Jeremy as well" Damon rolled his eyes at the mention of Jeremy "they are all apart of this, Damon. Elena would tell them anyway but this has to come from me, I don't want there to be any false assumptions made like last time"

"Last time?" Damon frowns still with an arm over her shoulder's and she found comfort sitting against Damon's side.

"No one told Elena of how we met or the fact that we're just friends and when I saw Bonnie with Caroline before the whole wolf and Elijah thing they looked..... they didn't seem to trust me much until I told them I'm married and that you were James' best man and Stefan was a groomsman" in a way Damon understood those rumors about him and Nora. He had seen it plenty of times how close they truly are and how they act around each other, how they are with each other but he wouldn't change it for the world and Nora wouldn't either. A friendship as strong as Damon and Nora's had lasted for over a hundred years and even though she had known Stefan for the same amount of time he and Nora just weren't as close but Stefan didn't mind it specially if Nora brought out Damon's humanity "that's something else I want to them as well. I don't know how much Elena has told them but I know her imagination is rather.... strong" Damon chuckled at Nora's words.

"Can I ask you about the necklace? The sudden glowing and your eyes changing, that's new" Damon states but also asks frowning curiously.

"The red stone is made from my blood as you know" Damon nods not finding that fact odd of strange anymore like he had when he first learned that Nora found a way to crystallize her own blood "this is going to sound very strange and.... creepy considering I wear it everyday and never take it off" she warned but Damon always expected that much from Nora "inside the stone is a mix of.... blood"
