My Thoughts:
If you've watched Hana Yori Dango (Japan)/ Meteor Garden (Taiwan)/ Boys Over Flowers (Korea), this story has the exact same plot line. The author herself admits to it. I personally watched all those I mentioned above (don't judge me). What can I say, the story just never gets old. Come on, it's officially some sort of classic right?
I was a bit hesitant to read it when I heard it was a parody of my favorite dramas since I was so certain that it would just piss me off. As you can see, it didn't. There's just something about finally getting off the Asian region for once (the dramas are all Asian). It's not a book that would make you go WOAH, but it's definitely something fans of the popular Asian dramas should read. It's pretty funny, considering how the author changed the plot-flow a bit.
I might name my future kid Roman though. Admit it, it's one hell of a cool name.
