Gloat

Jealousy isn't the problem.
Sure, being able to carry on
Full conversations
With idols
Is envious, but that's not it.

Day after day I scream the lyrics.
Day after day I follow the lines.
I was there from the beginning.
Since then it's been a lifeline.

Excitement is fine.
Gloating is not.
It ruins the melody.
It pulls my lifeline out of my hands.
