“What did you just realize?” my mom asked confused.

“Why what?” Gena blurted out.

“That’s why Elijah’s name sounds familiar!” I explained, “He has the same name as the one from my dreams! Then again, I also realized he has the same name as Elijah Wood.”

“Do you remember how the family from your dream looks like?” Elijah asked.

“Unfortunately, I don’t,” I shrugged, “I wish I did though, but I did remember being close friends with the one named Rebekah.”

“Ah yes, and how was that?” Elijah asked.

“It was great! For someone who’s not real, she actually felt like a really good friend and someone I can trust.”

Elijah just looked at me with understanding eyes, and with that that conversation just ended.  Throughout dinner, mom and Elijah just talked about the plans with the History exhibit that’s going to happen in the near future.

After about an hour or so, we finished our dinner and dessert and it was time for bed.

“Gilian, honey, can you please show Elijah the guest bedroom?” my mom asked me.

“Yeah, sure mom.”

“Come on Elijah, this way,” I said pointing up to the stairs.

“Thank you for letting me stay here for the time being, Carol,” Elijah said to my mom before we went upstairs.

As we were approaching the door to the guest room, my curiosity got the best of me.

“Elijah, can I ask you a question?”

“Of course, my dear”

“When I said the names of the people in my dream I noticed you became a little tense, why?”

“What made you say I that?”

“Whenever I have nothing else to do on my free time, I go to the town square and observe people.  Yeah, I know creepy, but it helped me notice if people are lying to me, when they feel uncomfortable, or detect any signs of emotion.  If you come think about it, people are like a book, you just got to learn how to read the signs.  Anyways, you haven’t answered my question.”

“I will tell you at the right time, but for now the less you know the better.  It is for your own protection.”

“Uh… yeah, okay.  So… um… yeah, my room’s the first door on the left down the hall if you need anything.  Good night, Elijah.”

“Good night, Gilian,” he said and kissed me on the forehead.

As I was walking towards my room, I realized his actions towards me made me feel safe and that he cares about me.  I was over analyzing his actions that I didn’t realized my door was still closed.

“Ow!” I yelped while rubbing my forehead.

Elijah came out of his room with worry in his eyes.

“Is everything alright? Are you okay?” he said walking towards me.

“Yes, I’m fine.  I just walked straight to my door.  Thank you for your concern, Elijah,” giving him a smile, and thankfully he smiled back and went back to his room.  That was really humiliating!! Ugh!  Note to self: always pay attention to where I’m going.

“Gil! Gena!” Jeremy shouted behind us.

“Yeah?” we said at the same time, and looked at each other.
