Chapter 7

Ariana's p.o.v.

Today is Wilder's first birthday, I can't believe that she's already a year old. I just picked up the cake from the store and I am on my way home with the car filled with pink birthday balloons and streamers and pretty much anything that could be used for a party. I pull into the driveway and Ricky comes out and helps me take all the birthday stuff in. Liz was upstairs taking care of Wilder so me, Ricky, and Alexa could get everything ready for the party. I could hear Liz talking to Wilder through the baby monitor, I laugh at her baby talk as I continue to set up the room. I was working on the inside, Ricky was working on the outside, Alexa was going back and forth to help us both, and mom and Nona were in the kitchen making the food.

After an hour of working we were all finished and sitting on the couch. Mom was sitting next to me waiting for the food to get done in the oven and Nona was decorating the cake. My mom puts her hand on my stomach.

Mom- I can't believe there are two in there

Ariana- I know. I was so shocked when I found out that I sat in the room for 20 minutes

Mom- yeah I would've flipped out

Ricky- tell me about it. I'm still freaking out about it and she's 17 weeks

Just then I heard Wilder giggling and we all turned our attention to her. Once Liz got to the bottom of the stairs she put her down and Wilder walked over to her toys. She just started walking last month and we haven't been able to stop her from getting in everything. She picks up her toys and starts handing each of us a different toy. I heard the front door open and turned to see the twins and the other dancers walking in. They all walked in with huge smiles on their faces and presents in their hands.

Brian- where's the birthday girl

Wilder started to run towards the kitchen so she could get away from him, they did this every time he came in the house. Brian would always chase her, even when she was crawling.

Brian- I'm going to take her outside!

Ariana- okay!

A few hours later...

There were people who were starting to leave so I started cleaning everything up. Alexa walked in the kitchen to help me. It was quiet for awhile before she spoke up.

Alexa- are you okay?

Ariana- yeah, why do you ask?

Alexa- you seem so different... like you're not happy or something

Ariana- I'm very happy. I was just a little overwhelmed today with the party and being pregnant

Alexa- are you sure there's nothing else? Is something going on with Ricky or someone else?

Ariana- Alexa I'm fine really. I'm perfect actually. Everything with me and Ricky is perfect, and Wilder just turned one and she's a really happy baby, these baby's are healthy. Everything is going perfect for once. I'm just trying to enjoy these moments

Alexa- well there is something that I should tell you since we're on the topic of good news

I look at her and raise my eyebrows.

Alexa- I'm pregnant!

We both started squealing and I was hugging her when Ricky and Jared, her now husband of 1 month, came running in with worried expressions on their faces.

Ricky- is everything okay?

Ariana- oh I'm sorry, did we scare you? Everything is great

We both were standing there still excited when Jared sighed. He rolled his eyes and looked at Alexa.

Jared- you told her?

She just nodded her head. I giggled as I watched Ricky's face turn from worried to confused.

Ariana- she's pregnant!

Ricky- oh! Congratulations!

Alexa- thank you!

Me and Alexa started walking outside leaving the two men standing there. I turn around and wink at Ricky before we walk outside. It was starting to get dark out so there was a breeze but it felt nice. We talked outside for 2 hours before Jared walked out and said they should leave. I hugged them both and they left. It was now just me, Ricky, mom, and Nona. Mom walked up to me and hugged me.

Mom- I'm so proud of you

Ariana- thanks mommy

Mom- Nona already went to bed and I'm going to bed now. Oh and Ricky told me to tell you that he was going to wait for you in your room

Ariana- okay, goodnight

Mom- night

I got a glass of water and walked upstairs. I walked into Wilder's room to see if she was still sleeping. She was sound asleep and I smiled as I watched her for a minute. I closed her door and walked into my room. I sat the glass of water on my nightstand. Ricky was in the bed on his phone. I took off the dress I was wearing and made my way into the bathroom to wash my face off and put my hair up. I got under the covers and snuggled up to Ricky. He locked his phone and put it on the nightstand. We snuggled together for awhile before deciding to go to bed. Ricky rested his hand on my belly and gave me a quick kiss. I fell asleep dreaming about my little family and I was perfectly content.
