Chapter 15

Ariana's p.o.v.

Ricky- we're home

We had stayed in the hospital for 4 days because my blood pressure had went up so they wanted to keep an eye on me to make sure everything was okay. It was also a good time to make sure the babies stayed eating and gaining a little weight. I had to learn how to breastfeed both of the babies at the same time which was a little difficult at first but I got now. Ricky gets Avelynn's car seat and the diaper bag and I get Hazel. I'm a little nervous for Wilder to see the babies because the only time she has seen them was through FaceTime. I walk in and see my mom sitting on the couch watching t.v.

Ariana- we're home

Joan- oh my goodness! Sylvia they're here

I didn't know Sylvia was here. Ricky said she wasn't going to be coming until the babies were a few weeks old. I love having her here with us though. She walks out of the kitchen with Wilder in her arms. Wilder starts bouncing up and down and smiling when she sees us. I missed that cute little face of hers. I give Sylvia a hug and kiss on the cheek.

Ariana- here trade me

I hand the car seat to Sylvia and take Wilder. I start kissing all over her face as she giggles. She then reaches for Ricky who has given the car seat to my mom and takes her. I walk over to the couch and sit down beside my mom who was holding Avelynn and staring at her in awe. Sylvia was doing the same with Hazel. I took a picture of them both because it was so cute.

Sylvia- so how are you feeling?

Ariana- I'm sore but feeling okay

Joan- Ricky told us everything that happened. Did you have to get any stitches?

Ariana- yeah I got 10 stitches but they said that it wasn't too bad

Ricky- she did amazing

I give Ricky a smile and he winks at me. Wilder starts bringing me toys and just putting them on my lap. She then takes a stuffed animal and lays it on Avelynn which caused an awe from everyone and she started giggling and running away.

Sylvia- she is the funniest kid

Ariana- she's loud and wild from my side of the family and funny from Ricky's side of the family

Ricky- she got both of our good looks though

Ariana- that is very true

The rest of the night we fed babies, changed babies, talked, laughed, gave Wilder a bath after she made a mess with her spaghetti, and it was finally time to go to bed. I carried Avelynn upstairs and Ricky carried Hazel and Wilder. Both of our moms had went to bed just 10 minutes before we did so this is the first time we are doing something without them with all babies. We go to our room first and put the twins in their little bassinet on my side of the bed. I will be keeping the twins in our room until they are 6 months old the same way I did with Wilder. I take one last look at them then go to our bed and pick Wilder up who was already starting to fall asleep.

Ricky- I can put her to bed if you want me to

Ariana- I want to do it

Ricky- okay. Goodnight Wilder daddy loves you

He gives her a kiss on the top of her head I walk out the door. I go to her room and turn on her light so I can see to change her diaper and change her into her pajamas. I turn on her stars projector and turn off her light. I sit in the rocking chair and rock her for a little while. She stares up at the ceiling watching her stars go around the room. I kiss her on her forehead and get up to put her in the crib. I take one last look at her and I leave the room closing the door behind me. I enter our room to see Ricky staring at the twins.

Ariana- I am so exhausted

Ricky- I bet you are. How are we going to do the whole night thing? Before we just had one baby so we took turns getting up with her but now we have two

Ariana- one for each of us. For now, we're both getting up and once we figure out how to take care of two at once we can start taking turns waking up

Ricky- I feel like I'm a new parent again

Ariana- don't worry, we'll figure this out

I get under the covers and Ricky walks around to his side and hits under the covers scooting all the way over to me, wrapping his arm around my waist.

Ariana- I have a suggestion about something

Ricky- what is it?

Ariana- when we move into our new house we should give this house to your parents. I really want them to be close to us

There was a silence for awhile before Ricky finally said anything back.

Ricky- They won't be able to afford a place like this though. The bills for this house are expensive

Ariana- then let's buy them a smaller one. Ricky I really want them in our lives more and you know they want to be around their grandkids more

Ricky- I want them in our lives too but they aren't going to let you buy them a house. I mean we can talk to my mom about it tomorrow if you really want

Ariana- okay then, we'll talk about it tomorrow

Ariana- Ricky wake up

I shake Ricky's shoulder as he groans. I take Hazel out of her bassinet and hand her to a tired looking Ricky. I also hand him a diaper and a bottle. I take Avelynn out of the bassinet and sit on the bed. I change her diaper then start breastfeeding her.

Ricky- what time is it?

Ariana- 2:30 am

Ricky- oh god

20 minutes passed and Ricky had finished feeding Hazel and burped her. He got out of bed and put her back in the bassinet. Avelynn was still eating which left me awake for another 20 minutes after Ricky. When she finally got done eating I put her back in the bassinet and climbed back into bed. As soon as I got comfortable I heard Wilder crying through the baby monitor.

Ariana- you have got to be kidding me

Her crying woke up the twins and they started crying. I pushed Ricky's shoulder so he would get up.

Ricky- what?

Ariana- you need to get these babies back to sleep so I can go get Wilder back to sleep

Ricky- why is she crying?

Ariana- I don't know

I walk out of the room and into hers where she is standing up in the crib crying.

Ariana- Wilder why are you crying?

I get her out of bed and change her diaper. I sit in the rocking chair and start breastfeeding her. I still breastfeed her sometimes if she isn't feeling well and I don't know what's wrong with her tonight but I don't feel like getting a bottle. She eventually falls back to sleep and I put her into her crib and carefully walk out the door and close it behind me. I walk back into our room to see Ricky with half of his body out of the covers and half in, on my side of the bed.

Ariana- Ricky, move over

He moves over a little bit and I climb in. He pulls me closer to him and I finally get a little bit of sleep. Just enough sleep that I don't lose my sanity.
