They were near the end of Wrath of Khan when they heard a car pull up onto the driveway. Dylan's face filled with glee when he realised it was Leo back from Poppy's house. Niamh glared at him and looked ready to throw several cushions at him.
"Yo Leo!" Dylan called as the front door shut. After a few moments Leo walked into the den with a small smile on his face. "How'd the night go?" Dylan said raising an eyebrow.
"Fine." Leo said narrowing his eyes slightly at Dylan.
"Just fine?" Dylan asked.
"Yes Dylan, it was fine. Poppy and I got loads of work done on this project we're doing together. I met her mom, who is really cool and Poppy's sister Molly is ok. Apparently Molly is having a party soon...Poppy asked me if I wanted to go so she has someone there that she knows." Leo said as a small smile crept across his face. "Wait...you guys are watching Wrath of Khan? Does Dylan have a box of tissues handy?" Leo then asked when he looked up at the TV screen. Dylan quickly threw a sofa cushion which hit Leo square in the face.
"I was going to be nice about your little date with this Poppy chick but now I'm just going to take the piss out of you and be a total dick." Dylan said.
"So no change there then." Leo commented and Addison watched with fascination as Dylan and Leo ended up in a cushion war. It only ended when Eleanor came into the den with more sodas. The cushion fight, if you could call a fight that involved cushions an actual fight, didn't end until Leo fell over his own feet and nearly knocked himself out on the corner of the coffee table.
"I would like to go one week without one of you injuring yourselves." Eleanor said as she placed a tray of sodas on the table next to Niamh.
"Dream big mom, dream big." Dylan said as he tried to supress his laughter at Leo falling over. "Hey mom, did Leo tell you about his date?"
"It wasn't a date! Poppy and I were studying!" Leo cried sounding very much like a bratty small child. Addison wouldn't have been surprised if he didn't stamp his feet to make his statement more clear.
"Yeah, I've done plenty of 'studying' in the past." Dylan muttered under his breath with a playful smirk.
"You know it is possible to hang out with a girl and not be a creepy jerk right?" Leo asked Dylan. Niamh smirked over at Addison, who suppressed the urge to point out she was a girl and Dylan wasn't being a creep.
"Stop corrupting Leo, you horn dog." Niamh said giving Dylan a painful looking whack on the arm
"I agree with your sister on this Dylan." Eleanor said. "Are you hungry Leo? I can make you something if you are."
"Nah I'm fine Mom, I'm going to go to bed actually." Leo said dodging out of the way of Dylan throwing another cushion at him. Leo had only been upstairs for about half an hour when Addison noticed Niamh's head begin to droop.
"Tired?" Dylan asked when Niamh yawned loudly. Niamh shook her head but it was painfully obvious that she was finding it difficult to stay awake. "Go to bed Niamh. You were up half the night reading, I saw your light on at three this morning. I can drive Addison back home if she wants." Dylan said nudging Niamh playfully on the arm. Addison desperately tried to ignore the flutter in her stomach.
"Are you sure?" Niamh asked. Dylan nodded his head. "Is that ok with you Addison?" She then asked looking over at Addison who just shrugged her shoulders. She was trying so damn hard to seem nonchalant. "Ok then, good night then. Thanks for coming over tonight Addison, it was really good fun." Niamh said giving Addison a wide smile before pulling herself up off the sofa.
"Glad to be here." Addison said as Niamh gave her a quick one armed hug she didn't mind returning. Niamh gave her another bright smile before shooting a smirk at Dylan and leaving the den.
