It was late. Too late. You were of course up again, as you've been crying for hours. Your boyfriend, Adrien, had his arms wrapped around you, sleeping peacefully. He had come home drunk again. Once he noticed that there was no food left for him, he was angry. Of course, it resulted in more suffering for you.
You've been in this relationship for 2 years. Half of it was spent being terrified of Adrien. He always needed everything his way. If something was out of place, he would blame you and beat you. You were too scared to leave him. You decided to suck it up for the night and fall asleep.
———————— Morning———————
You woke up facing Adrien's chest. He was up already, stroking his fingers through your hair. He noticed you were awake. "Good morning, baby." His voice is low and raspy, signaling that he just woke up. "Good morning." You say in response. "Did you sleep well?" You nod. "Mm, good. How 'bout you go make some breakfast for me?" You nod again and roll out of bed. You throw your hair into a ponytail and make your way downstairs.
You take out a pan and two eggs. Suddenly, one of your picture frames falls off of the wall. "Again?" You wall over to the frame and place it back up. "It's the same picture every time." You mumble. You walk back over to the pan and place the eggs on a plate, make some toast and coffee, and bring the food back to Adrien.
He puts a hand on your cheek as you place the food down for him. "Thank you, sweetheart." You force a smile and lay back down in bed. You grab your phone and check your messages. You have one from early this morning. It's from your best friend, Erica.
"Hey, me and the girls are going out tonight. Are you free?"
Your breath hitches. It would be nice to get out of the house for the night. You glance over at Adrien, who is sipping his coffee and scrolling around on his phone. "Babe?" You ask. He shifts his gaze to you. "Hm?" He sets his coffee down. "Would-would you mind if I went out with the girls tonight?" His expression changes. And it's not to a good one. "Where?" He asks, his voice low. "I-I don't know. Probably just to the club down the street." He raises his brows. "Hm. I guess that's fine. No too late. I want to spend time with you." You nod and text Erica that you'll be able to make it.
You hated when he did that. Pretend like he was actually in love with you. It just made you more upset. You never knew when he'd strike. One minute he's be as happy as ever and the next he'd be pissed at you.
You take a breath and lay your head back on the pillow. You close your eyes and relax until you feel Adrien's hand on your shoulder. You open your eyes and turn your head towards him. "Do you mind taking this down for me?" He points back at his plate and mug. "Of course not." You stand back up and take the dishes downstairs.
The same picture frame falls over again. "What the hell?" You place it back up. As you turn around, you hear an low chuckle. You look around to see if Adrien came downstairs. "Babe?" You call out. I'm probably just hearing things.
You walk back up the stairs and lie back down next to Adrien. He pulls you closer and cuddles you. "We should do something today before you go out." He runs his fingers through your hair again. "I don't know, I'm really tired." His grip on your hair tightens a bit. You panic and quickly change your answer. "But if you want to do something we can." His hand doesn't move. You begin to shake. He's completely silent.
After a few minutes of panic, he finally sighs and rubs your back. "No, it's fine. If you're tired, you're tired." What? "Are you sure?" He nods and pulls you closer to him and you both fall asleep.
————————6:18 p.m.———————
"Babe." You feel someone push on your shoulder. "Come on, they're gonna be here in an hour. You need to wake up." You open your eyes and see Adrien above you. You let out a yawn and roll out of bed. "Thanks for waking me." He smiles at you. "Of course."
After Adrien leaves the room, you slip on a nice outfit and do your hair and makeup. As soon as you finish, you get a text from Erica.
"We're outside! Let's goooo!"
You can't help but smile at the text. You slip your phone into your purse and make your way downstairs. "I'm leaving!" You shout, hoping Adrien will hear you. He steps out behind you and yells out for you. You stop and turn around. "You're forgetting something." You wall over to him and give him a passionate kiss. He smiles at you. "I'll see you later tonight."
You walk out to Erica's car. Along with her, she has your other friend Brooke. You smile as you get into the back seat. "Damn you look hot." Erica smirks back at you through the rear view mirror. You laugh. "Shut up at drive." All three of you laugh as Erica drives to your destination. She pulls out in front of the local club and bar. You've never really been here ever since you and Adrien started dating.
As soon as you get out of the car, you spot a rather good-looking guy staring in your direction. He's leaning against the wall of the club and has a lollipop in his mouth. You glance at him as you walk into the club. Almost immediately after you walk into the building, Brooke walks over to a random guy and starts chatting. She was always one to look for guys first. You and Erica take a seat at the bar and order two shots. You look back at the door and see the guy from outside walk in and scan the room. You make eye contact with him and quickly turn your head away. Erica notices and glances back at him. "He's cute. And he's eyeing you up." You roll your eyes. "Erica, I'm with Adrien." She looks at you after downing her shot. "Pfftttt. Yeah okay. That's not a relationship but whatever you say. I'm gonna go use the bathroom." She gets up from the bar and makes her way to the bathroom.
You let out a sigh as you're left alone at the bar. Someone takes a seat right next to you. You look up. It's the guy from outside. You pull your phone out and use it to occupy yourself while waiting for Erica. "Hey." You look up. He was looking at you now, still having the lollipop in his mouth. "Hi." You respond, not wanting to talk. "I saw your friends ditch you." You look back up at him. "They didn't ditch me." He raises a brow and looks towards the corner of the room. Sure enough, Erica is talking to a guy. "Oh. Nevermind then." He chuckles at your remark and leans his elbows on the bar table. "That's not cool. How 'bout I order a round to cheer you up?" You glance back at Erica, then turn to face him. "Sure. Why not?"
He orders a round for the two of you and you both down them as quickly as you can. "Damn. It's been a while since I had a little kick." You smile at him. "Same here. I don't usually go out much." He looks back at you, slightly smirking. "I'm Yoongi." You smile back. "Y/N."
