Mira's POV:

A few days later, I was sitting at my table in the Great Hall for dinner when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Lucius Malfoy looking down at me nervously.

I smiled up at him kindly. "Hey Lucius. What's up?"

He managed a soft smile at me. "Hi Mira. Well, I looked at the prefect schedule and it's my turn to patrol the corridors and I noticed that you haven't patrolled yet this month so I was wondering, since we made such a good team on the train, do you want to patrol with me again?"

I smiled again. "Of course Lucius. Where should I meet you tonight?"

He shook his head. "Don't worry about it. I'll pick you up at your common room at 8 tonight. After dinner. Dress warm, the castle gets chilly after hours." He winked at me so only I could see and I felt myself blushing slightly.

"Okay. See you tonight Lucius." I smiled and he walked off back to his table with the other Slytherins.

I turned back to my dinner to see Jasmine and Lily staring at me from their table. I gave them a confused look and went back to eating my dinner. All the while, I thought I felt someone staring at me, but I ignored it, thinking it was one of the Slytherins. One that didn't like Lucius and I talking, or being friends. Whatever we were.

Jasmine's POV:

"Lily!" I hissed.

She looked at me funny. "What Jasmine?"

I gestured at the Ravenclaw table and Lily turned to see Mira and Lucius Malfoy talking. At one point, I even saw Mira blush!

Lily looked back at me and said, "That's a bit unnerving. Mira's a half blood. Why would Malfoy talk to her?"

I shrugged. "Beats me. Lucius was always so proud of the Malfoy heritage when we were children."

Lily shook her head and Mira looked up at us. Both Lily and I sent her a look and Mira shrugged and went back to eating.

Oliver's POV:

I could feel my face burning as I saw Malfoy talk to the Ravenclaw girl.

James nudged me in the side. "You okay SmartWings?" He asked me.

I shook my head. "Yeah. I'm fine Prongs."

Sirius shook his head. "No you aren't. You look like you're trying to burn a hole in the back of Malfoy's head. Is there a reason for that, hmm?" He grinned cheekily at me. "A certain Ravenclaw prefect perhaps?"

I glared at him. "No." I snapped. "It has nothing to do with her."

Peter sent me a look that said, 'Liar.'

I shrugged at Peter, even though I knew he was absolutely right. I was angry because Malfoy was talking to the Ravenclaw.
