Oliver's P.O.V

I feel so stupid. I don't know what came over me. I can't believe I hurt her the way I did. I didn't mean to. I didn't want to. But I saw her with the lilies and she looked so happy and I was so mad she wasn't happy with me. I knew what I had to do.

I found her in Care Of Magical Creatures. We were each given a dragon egg to care for and I'd asked Hagrid to make her my partner. She looked at me in utter disgust and a bit of sadness when partners were announced. I took a deep breath and walked over to her. She was holding the dragon egg in her small hands.

"Mira...I-" I began.

"Save it. Screw you." She snapped.

My eyes widened. Wow. Beautiful and feisty. This won't be easy. I began again, "Mira I am so so sorry for what I said and did to you. I don't know what came over me. Sirius...he gave me an anger potion. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken it out on you." I finished, completely lying to her face about why I was so mad. I had been jealous. And I knew it.

She looked a little shocked. "Umm...I...thank you." She managed.

"You're welcome." I replied. Now, should we get started?"

She snapped out of it. "Yeah yeah we should." She handed me the egg and our hands touched. I felt an electric shock go through me when we touched and I can't explain it.

I took the egg and, together, we made more of its color, size, texture, and even temperature. It was warm, and about the size of a watermelon. It was smooth like a regular egg and was a deep brown with green spots dappling the sides of the egg.

Mira worked with such concentration and was completely focused the entire time. I, on the other hand, couldn't keep myself from staring at her from time-to-time. She was gorgeous when she was focused. I began noticing little things about her that I immediately knew I loved. For example, she bit her lip when she couldn't figure something out and I knew this because she asked me a question every time she did it. I found it extremely hot. Her hair was tied back in a braid but little curly strands hung in her face and I found myself wanting, so badly, to tuck those adorably little strands behind her ears. But I held myself back.

I was jolted out of my romantic fantasies and thoughts by the ringing of the bell. "That's dinnertime." Mira spike and picked up the egg, putting it in a warm-looking knitted bag.

"Did you make that?" I asked her in awe

She nodded and smiled.

'Goddamn her smile', I thought.

"Yes I did." She replied. "D'you like it? I figured since it was getting chilly out, the dragon would like something warm to rest in. Plus it means neither of us will drop the egg." She joked.

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Yeah." I agreed, though I would've agreed with anything she said, as long as she kept smiling at me like that a little bit more. Honestly, I was whipped. She could've told me to skinny dip in the Black Lake in the middle of winter and I probably would've done it if she smiled at me. Crap. Yep. I'm whipped. Sirius is gonna crack up.
