The Closet (Part 2)

Mira sighed in exasperation. "Yeah right, because I know you, Jones. I know your reputation. You're what I call, a "Take and Break." She explained. "You take girl's hearts and then you break them. You absolutely love being caught in broom closets with girls. The only difference now? Is that this girl," she gestured to herself, "has NO desire to be stuck in here with you."

Oliver looked as though he'd been slapped in the face. Which, he thought, she'd probably do without hesitation. But no girl had ever spoken to him like that before. He stood there, his mouth opening and closing but no words coming out.

Mira smirked. "No more words, Jones?" She teased with a small laugh. Then she pulled a hair tie out of her bag and pulled her hair into a ponytail. "I'm gonna get us out of here." She said, putting her wand in the holster she had around her waist.

Oliver finally found words. "What're you gonna do, Silverstream? Scream for another one of your prefect friends?" He teased, trying to get some of his smooth, cool guy act back.

"Nope." Mira smirked again and pulled a bobby-pin out of her pocket. She next grabbed a paper clip and straightened it out. Then she knelt down and stuck both of them into the lock.

Oliver was confused. What I'm Merlin's name was she doing? He did, however, notice the, frankly, cute way the tip of her tongue stuck out of the side of her mouth as she concentrated on whatever she was doing. He watched her, focused on the little features of her face, until his previous question was answered when he heard a small metallic click.

Mira stood up and pushed the door open. "Ta-Da!" She giggled quietly.

Oliver almost fell over. That giggle, that small little giggle was one of the most adorable things he'd ever heard. 'No!' He told himself silently, 'Bad Oliver. You can't find anything she does adorable. You have to get her to date you by Christmas. Then you can dump her and keep your reputation.'

Well, he must have been making quite the funny face as he mentally scolded himself, because Mira gave him a funny look of her own and asked, "What're you doing? You're making a duck face." She waved her hand in the air dismissively. "Whatever. I gotta go. See ya Jones." She left the broom closet and headed down the hallway and out of sight.

Oliver was still standing there, dumbfounded. "What the-?" He asked himself out loud.

Just then, Sirius burst out from behind a tapestry across the hall. "Mate! How did she get out?! What happened in there?" He asked, rapid-fire style.

Oliver blinked a few times. "She stuck a Bobby-pin in the lock and opened the door." He said in slight awe.

Sirius Gave him a look. "She picked the lock with a Bobby-pin?" He asked slowly to make sure he'd heard right. "Wow. She is not what we expected her to be."

Oliver shook his head. "No She is not."
