He was standing in front of the aisle, dressed in a black suit with a black tie and white under shit. Of course he had his usual scarf around his neck. It was outside and in the middle of what seemed to be a tropical like area, all around him were sunflowers blowing in the warm breeze. The chairs were all filled with familiar faces, although the chairs and guest were covered in sunflowers. Rolled out in front of Russia was a deep purple river of fabric that marked were his bride to be would walk down to meet him. He smiled happily, knowing who it was. The music started to play, even though there wasn’t a piano insight. A beautiful white dress appeared from the dark cover of the trees, a veil covered the brides face and upper most part of their body making it hard to see who it was. Russia smiled as he saw the white bow on top instead of a tiara. Belarus.

The mysterious bride figure stopped in front of Russia and took his hands, from a close distance Russia could still barley make out the face under the veil; he could see what he thought was a smile though. The priest, whom he never saw, spoke for a few moments and then finally the moment came. Although there was something wrong with the moment. The wind stopped blowing around him and the sky started to darken, the priest voice also began to muffle and mumble and it was hard for Russia to understand him when he spoke. “Do you….. Take….. To be your wife?” Was all Russia needed to hear. “I do.” He smiled. The priest then said a mumbled and hard to hear question to his bride. “I do.” Said an all to familiar voice. No….. it couldn’t be. “I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride.” In a rush to see who was really under the veil Russia flipped it up and gasped. China smiled up at the large country. “You’ll never leave.” He said and jumped up and kissed Russia.

Russia jolted awake and screamed in shock, horror, and surprise. It was a dream. Just a dream. His phone was ringing off the hook, worried he ran too it and grabbed it. “Hello?” He answered almost desperately. “Russia?” A once soft and quiet voice was not strained and crackling from shouting orders. “Canada, is that you?” Russia asked not being able to tell. Canada had been worse off than Russia was, he had the weight of all of the countries hiding from China on his shoulders, having to protect the people of the European countries and also having to send out and command his own troops to help America in battle. “Yes…… there has been trouble.” He said, this only made Russia worried. “What is it?” He asked wanting answer as soon as possible. “China has attacked Ukraine and Belarus. I managed to get your sisters out alive though, they are going on the first plane back to my country for the people of the country….. I’m afraid any that remained have been slaughtered.” Russia’s eyes widened at the news, he grinded his teeth and and balled his hand into a fist. Letting out a cry of pure rage he punched the wall in front of him creating a huge whole. How could he! There was a deal! Belarus was safe for as long as he had Lithuanian! “Canada! Where is he?” Russia commanded the rage that was inside of him was something he hand never felt before; it was something that he even feared. Canada could obviously here it in his voice and his was frightened. “He….He…. is heading up toward Latvia and Estonia last time I checked. We are defending the boarders of Finland and Sweden at the moment.” Canada informed. “Good…. He is near my boarder….. I’m sending out my troops to assist.” With that Russia slammed the phone down. China was going to pay for what he had done, just the thought of him even harming his beloved sisters, both of them. How dare he! “China is dead.” Russia declared in a cold, cruel, and quiet voice.

Everything happened so fast. The pain, the heart break, the loss…… her beautiful country was now in flames. Her people dead. The once cold yet loving girl now cried as she heard the remaining screams of her people as she escaped with her sister to the safety of Finland and Sweden. There is where she would await for her brother; there is where she would see him. There is where everything would get better. It had too. A hand fell upon her shoulder. “Belarus?” Said a familiar and quiet voice. She turned to the Canadian as tears threatened to fall. “It’s okay to cry…… I won’t tell anyone…..” He glanced out the back window of the car as they drove away. All you could see as they sped through the soon to be invaded country of Latvia was the orange horizon of the fire that now consumed everything. Ukraine took her sisters hand and held it tightly, fighting the urge not to cry trying desperately to for once in her life stay strong. Belarus closed her eyes and sobbed quietly at first but then it built up, she let out a loud howling scream filled with grief and loss. The heart of Europe, Belarus, once a beautiful country was now engulfed in flames, her people running for their lives, everything that was once hers was gone. “We will all cry, for the loss of the Heart of Europe.” Ukraine uttered as she stared at the ground, allowing herself to sob quietly.
