Sidon's P.O.V.
I pulled Rouge so she was walking. She neighed and sidestepped, she seemed on edge.
"What is it girl?" I bent to whisper in her ear. Her head stood straight, she was perfectly still. She looked over to the right, the forest around me loomed tall, all noises seemed amplified. I sat up slowly, looking towards where Rouge was staring. I saw a dart of shadow move from one tree to another. I pulled my bow quickly from my back, notching an arrow and pulling back in one fluid motion. I let the arrow fly towards the shadow. I heard the squeal of a creature as a bokoblin ran out from behind the tree with my silver arrow protruding from its forearm.
I swung myself from Rouge, the shadows around me creeping closer. I noticed now that the sky had a strange red tint. The bokoblin I shot was staggering towards me. I slung my bow over my shoulder and pulled out my swords. I lowered myself into a fighting stance.
I waited for the monster to get closer, then I lunged, slicing into the monster, black blood splattered from it, covering the blades of my swords. Rouge neighed, I turned in time to see another bokoblin swing it's club at her. Rouge kicked out, hitting the creature on the side of its head. It flew back a little and crumpled, lifeless, to the ground.
I spun again to see a moblin. These enemies are big, even to me. It stood about a head taller than me, but I happen to know they are not intelligent.
I don't know how long I hacked at monsters. It was all a blur.
My chest heaved as I faced what felt like the tenth lizalfos. The creature leaped over me, and in my haste to duck, I didn't pull my fin down quick enough. The end of the things blade caught the end of my fin, slicing into it. Blue blood leaked down my back as I returned to a standing position. I swung a tired arm at the thing, my clumsy sword somehow catching the lizalfos in its neck. It happened to be swinging at the same time, it's weapon swinging and cutting deep into my thigh. I cried out as the creature dropped down, black blood gushing from its neck. My leg stopped holding my weight, I started to fall and by a complete fluke a moblin shot an arrow, landing with a thump into my side. A second later my body was wracked with electricity.
Before I lost consciousness my last thought was of Link. Hylia, please keep him safe.

Link's P.O.V.
Epona rounded a corner, and I gasped out. Sidon was on the ground, blood pooled rapidly around him. I yanked Epona to a stop, leaping off of her. I ran as fast as I could to Sidon, pulling my sheikah slate from my hip as I did so. I went into the map quickly and selected the shrine inside Zoras Domain. I tucked it under Sidon's arm, he dissolved into stings of light, shooting off towards the Domain. I pulled out my sword, turning to face any enemy around. I could see one moblin, it was trying to hide behind a tree. I rushed towards in, hacking at it with my sword.
It soon fell to the ground, it's lifeless body leaking black blood onto the ground. I paused to catch my breath, then quickly put my sword back into its sheath. I ran to Epona and leaped onto her back. Forcing her into a run, I needed to get to Zoras Domain.
Halfway there I realized that my tunic was covered in black blood. I made a disgusted noise deep in my throat, I pulled off the tunic and threw it over my shoulder. I pulled the sweater that Sidon left in the room from my bag and pulled it over my head. I was shivering slightly. I don't know if it was from the adrenaline, fear, or the chill in the air; I don't really care either, I just had to worry about getting to Zoras Domain.

I made it to Riverside stable. Epona was heaving, I had forced her to keep up a quick pace all the way here. I quickly dismounted, running to the man behind the counter.
"Horse. Now. Need good stamina," I said, heaving for breath as well.
The man raised an eyebrow but nodded. A stable hand brought out a speckled grey stallion. I nodded to the man, then ran to the horse. I forced this horse into a run as well, once agin setting out on the way to Zoras Domain.
I broke off the path, trusting my knowledge of the land. I knew that Wetland Stable was coming up next, that's where I'll switch horses again, then ride to Zoras Domain.
