Chapter 3: My Knight In Shining Armor

    I opened my eyes, I’m in a house, but somewhat smaller than a house I think. It’s dawn and it’s very cold. There’s someone else in the bed. Well not literally in the bed, he’s sitting on a chair beside my bed. He’s the guy who saved me.

He’s head is tilted in my direction, I brushed away the hair on his face gently with my fingers so that he won’t wake up. “Thank you”, I said silently and stared at him. He looks so…handsome. I never stared at a guy this way before. He has dark brown hair, he looks a bit tired as the same time.. calm, his face makes me feel at ease. It made me smile. Wait! Am I having a crush on a guy I just met? Well, I don’t think there’s anything wrong about that? Am I going crazy?

I smacked my head with my hand because of my thoughts. “Ouch!”, I said painfully and loudly. “Hm?”, the guy blinked his eyes rapidly and looked at me. “Sorry, if I woke you up, ow..um”, I am still poking and touching the painful part on my forehead and I’m running out of words, it’s getting pretty awkward. “It’s okay. And.. oh yeah, your head hit a tree, that’s why it hurts… ummm…oh, wait a minute”, he rushed to a room.

   I smiled a little, he’s also running out of words, maybe he's shy of me too. Minutes later, he came back with a vial, a glass of water and a bowl of hot soup that he had set down on the drawer beside me. He kneeled next to me, and handed me the glass of water, I drank a bit and set it down on the drawer. He held the vial and put some of it’s liquid contents on his hand and gently rubbed it on my head and said,

“This would help ease the pain, by the way you’re in my house and I have this question, do you mind?”.

“It’s okay, what is it that you want to ask?”, I wasn't alarmed that I was in his house, I mean I suspected and expected it in the first place, when I woke up and saw him.

As he helped me to eat the soup he prepared, he asked, staring at me, “Aren’t you afraid of me?”

“I’m not afraid of you”, I said giving a small smile. “And why would I? You just saved my life. I trust you” It’s pretty weird though, after I saw him became a wolf, I still feel so at ease and secured when I’m with him. “I mean, you’re like my night and shining armor”, I giggled and flashed a smile at him.

He smirked and chuckled, I stared at him, and when our eyes locked, he moved his face closer to mine. I stared at his wonderful blue eyes, with gray linings in it, his face moved closer and closer to mine, he tilted his head and closed his eyes, I closed mine too. Time froze, and this was a very magical moment until….

“Achoo!” I sneezed, a very, very small sneeze ruined my magical moment. We both opened our eyes, shocked and surprised of what we were just about to do. He slammed on the floor and I hit my back on the bed. We looked at each other, still wearing the same surprised look.

“Hihi”, I giggled, I can’t help it, we look so ridiculous. “Hahaha”, I bet my night and shining armor can’t hold it back too. “Hahahaha”, both of us bursted into laughter and tears almost fell from our eyes, I was holding my stomach because it hurts so much from the laughing.

   When the laughing stopped, we both smiled at each other. He run his hand through his hair, “Well…um…Good Morning”, he said. “Good Morning”, I said while brushing the hair that fell on my face away gently and continued smiling at him. Am I really falling in love with this stranger? I feel so weird as the same time.. happy.

“Umm… I gotta go get some food in the woods. You can rest if you…”

“Can I go?” the words slipped up from my mouth shockingly.

“You sure? Don’t you feel weak or anything?”, he asked and gave me a concerned look.

“Yep, don’t worry” I smiled.

“Okay, if you say so.” He smirked at me.
