Chapter 5- Part 3: Berry Eating

*munch munch munch* these berries are the sweetest, I can’t help it!!!

“Hey, stop that. How are we gonna fill the basket if you’re eating every single berry we put in?” Alexander asked.

“Wuh? A luk bewwies, is bween yeaws shince a lash ate wown”, I said ridiculously because of the number of berries in my mouth.

“Wah? I didn’t understand a word you said… Hahahaha, you look so ridiculous!”, he laughed at me.

Wait, did he just call me ridiculous? “Wah, who you cawing ridicuwous?”, I tried munching the berries in my mouth but they don’t seem to get lessened.

“Hahaha, seeeee, my tummy hurts, please stop it”, he said laughing deliriously with tears in the corner of his eyes.

I pouted with my bloated cheeks “I cawn’t *munch munch* yow gownna pay for lawghing awt me" *munch munch* I secretly rolled a snowball with my hands behind me and threw it him the moment I swallowed the last berry.

“Yowch!!!!! Hey, what was that for? Stop it!”, he said as I simultaneously threw snowballs at him.

“Never mess with me! I may look fragile but I still have guts in me! Hehe, now pay for what you’ve said to me. Let’s see who looks ridiculous now? XD”, I said laughing at him.

“Oh yeah?”, he said and threw a snowball at me.

“Ouch, hey! No fair!”, I said and run to him so that I can lunge at him and punch him, “No fair! Ugh, stop it!”, I exclaimed as he pointed a finger on my forehead before I can even get close to him.

“You ate everything, now fill this basket first before I let you enjoy”, he smiled and winked at me as he held the basket on his other hand.

ALEXANDER

   Haha, she looks so cute!!! Wait, why do I keep on, ughhhh!!! So ummm…. as a punishment for eating all the berries, haha, I finally convinced her to collect some! Yay! And as the good guy, I allowed myself to stroll the forest.

I’m standing near the tree as I watched her pick up some berries, I just can’t help it, I can’t resist to look at her. Alexander! Stop it! I turned away and analyzed the leaves of the now snow-coated tree to distract myself. She looks so innocent, so fragile, I just can’t stop thinking about her, the way she smiled, so sweeet, the way she acts, so cuuute, the way she looks directly at my eyes, I just can’t, ugh, what is this thing I’m feeling? Her eyes, they’re just so....

*WAIT! I kind of remember something, someone in particular, it seems familiar but I can’t remember it. Everything’s on the back of my mind yet I can’t pull it all toge-- *

“YOUCH!!! HEY!!! What was that for?!?”, I shouted at her while I removed all the snow on my head.

“Just another revenge :p”, she said teasingly.

“Oh yeah, well then prepare for mine!”, I rapidly rolled a snowball and threw a ball at her but I missed.

“Hey Alex! Is that all you’ve got? Haha, I’m way more better than you at this! :p”, wait.. A girl just insulted me, this is time for my revenge! I rolled 3 snowballs at a time and said, “Hey! Did you just call me Alex? Well then Xy, may the best in snowball fighting win!” The snowballs went flying to the air, at her. Being unable to react, a snowball hit her, the other 2 had hit the tree and the snow that coated a stem fell down at her.

“Hey! No fair!”, she said pouting and crossing her arms.

“Which is?” I said.

“This is!”, as she said it a snowball came flying to me and hit my shoulder.

“Ouch, hey!”, I said and saw her laughing.

The both of us threw snowballs at each other, snowball there, snowball here, snowball everywhere! When both of us got tired, we lay down next to each other and both of us made snow angels.

“You know, I love looking at the skies, they look so calm, the color blue makes it so….pleasing…. so nice….so calming. The clouds are like cotton, pure, soft, calming too. Imagine that everyone is looking at the same sky we’re looking at now. The sky’s so beautiful… it’s so wonderful.”, she said I also looked at the sky that way but…

“You are my sky.."

"..You’re the one that makes me feel calm, you’re so pure, you’re so beautiful, you’re so wonderful, everytime I look at you I just can’t help but to smile.”, I whispered to myself.

“Hmm? Did you say something?”, she asked. Did I say it out loud?

“Nothing” I smiled and faced her, she was smiling too, our eyes locked and just as that happened..

*FLASH*

*a girl was smiling at me, she’s laughing and I felt so happy running around, with her hands tangled to mine*

A memory came in a flash and I didn’t know what it is, I didn’t see who it is, everything’s so blurry… I came back to my senses and saw Xyrene looking at me.

“Are you alright?”, she asked with a questioning look.

“Oh, sorry, it was nothing, we should go back home, and I’ve got a great idea.” I said with a brilliant idea in my mind on how we can get home faster.

“Yeah? What is it?”, she flashed a smile at me.
