6.
Lia’s POV;
I woke up tangled in Justin’s arms, to the rise and fall of his chest. I could tell he was sleeping, and I couldn’t believe that he actually stayed with me throughout the night. I didn’t want to bring him into my world of crazy, but I did, and now I feel terribly bad. I shifted my body a bit, looking at the clock. It was six in the morning. I tried to slip out of Justin’s arms, but they only held onto me tighter. I sighed and looked up at his face, only to find two brown eyes staring back at me. “I thought you were sleep.”
“I was resting my eyes; I thought you would still be asleep.”
“I’m hungry…” I muttered.
“Are you okay?” Justin paused, “last night you scared me half to death. When I found out the screaming was coming from your room, I panicked.”
“I’m fine.” I lied. My dreams always shook me up. I just didn’t know they’d shake me up to the point where I’d want Justin in the bed with me…with his arms around me, and his body extremely close to mine. I tried to pull away. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to get up.”
“Did you know you’re not wearing pants?”
I rubbed my legs together only to find out there was not fabric clinging to my skin. “Did we…?”
He shook his head, “No, but you started sweating in the middle of the night. It was either that, or your shirt.”
I blushed a little bit, “You could’ve left.”
“But I didn’t.”
“Why?”
“I care, that’s why. I wasn’t going to just leave you here alone waking up all these poor people in the hotel.” He laughed. “Once you fell asleep in my arms you just, stopped screaming. You panted, you sweated, and you whimpered, but you didn’t scream or cry. Not once.”
“I wonder why that is.”
“You don’t like being alone Lia, and no matter how much you want to cut everyone off, you can’t. Someone’s gonna work their way into your life, someone is going to get terribly close to you, and you won’t have the power to stop them.”
I knew he was right. I hated that he was right, but looking him right now in the eyes was such a turn on. I smiled and slowly wrapped my arms around his neck. I pulled him closer and planted a soft kiss on his lips. I didn’t know any other way to show how grateful I was.
Justin’s POV;
I went over to my room to shower as she got dressed. I gave her my extra room key in case she needed something. As the shower jets beat against my chest I groaned and ran my hands over my face. I need to tell her about this bet, but let her know that things have changed since then. I know she’s gonna hate me though and I can’t have her do that. I don’t want her to hate me. I pushed my hair out of my face and turned the shower head off. I hopped out and wrapped a towel around my waist. “What do I do?”

“Where are we going now Lia?” I groaned. “I’m tired of you kidnapping me.”
She laughed, “Shut up, I’m taking you somewhere fun.”
“Where?” I asked, sitting up straight I saw her turn off the freeway and a huge sign that said Disney.
“Where dreams really do come true.” She giggled looking at me.
Lia’s POV;
I handed over our tickets and we were finally submerged into this huge playground of fun. I was holding onto Justin’s hand and out of nowhere he pulled me closer to him. “Which ride first?” I asked looking up at Justin.
“What do you wanna get on princess?”
“Don’t answer a question with a question.”
“Lia…” He paused, “I just want to tell you something.”
“What?” I smiled, looking up at him.
“I didn’t need help with tutoring…well, not from you. I have a tutor and I never actually talked to the principal. This was just all an act to get close to you.”
“Really?” I narrowed my eyes.
“Yeah, but that’s not all.”
“What else?”
“I had to get close to you, for a bet, because my friends didn’t think I was able to do it.”
I pulled my hand away, “Wait, so all of this was just…what?”
“No, I like you, I like you a lot and I know you’ve been hurt and lied to, so I just wanted to tell you now, so you knew, please…”
“No, don’t you dare please me. You lead me on! I let you in, and you just took advantage of that didn’t you.”
“No! Lia, dammit, listen to me please.”
I crossed my arms, “Fine.”
“That first time, I had you in my arms crying, I knew that I couldn’t do this to you. As soon as I saw that first tear slip out your eye I broke, I immediately fell for you Lia, and when I heard you scream last night and I didn’t know what was happening I felt my heart breaking. This is not a game anymore, I swear this is real.”
I sighed, “How much was the bet worth?”
“Fifty bucks.”
I rummaged through my purse, and pulled out my wallet, handing him a fifty. “You win, you won and lost me at the same time.” I started to walk away, “Find your own way home, I can’t even stand looking at you anymore.”
When I faced forward, I let the tears fall out my eyes. I was stupid for thinking a guy like him will ever like someone like me.
