Lia’s POV;
I woke up this morning with a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. Like, today I knew something was going to go wrong but I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was. I looked at the digital clock sitting on the nightstand beside my bed. I was definantly late for school but I didn’t care. I checked my phone and had three text messages from Justin and six missed calls. I sighed and got up hesitantly, not looking forward to what today held.

I hopped out my car and slung my hobo purse on my shoulder. I had my headphones in my ears and the parking lot was empty. I hummed the tune to Give Me Everything by Pitbull dancing my way into the school. I went to the main office, got my late slip and headed to my locker. I looked to my left and saw Josh stuffing something into his backpack. I snatched the headphones out my ears and bit my lip. “Josh?”
He looked up at me and I saw a pang of regret in his eyes, “Lia…”
“I shouldn’t have dumped you as a friend…I shouldn’t have left you the way I did and I’m so sorry for the way I treated you. I’m happy you and Becca are hitting it off nicely though...” I frowned closing my locker and walking away.
Josh’s POV;
I watched her retreating body walk away from me just leaving me to my own thoughts. I didn’t know what I was doing but you know I had this feeling that if I did this; everything was going to be okay. I know I will feel bad and have a few second thoughts before doing so, but I could make it through. Without him in the picture Lia will love me again, the way she was supposed to. I frowned, if my plan didn’t work then, I just guess I’ll have to keep trying to get Lia’s attention. But, I knew this was going to work. Everything’s going to be okay, I repeated over and over in my head. I looked down at the gun in my backpack, and sighed. I bit back the tears that pricked my eyes and nodded, yeah, everything was going to be okay. I looked up at the hallway that no longer held Lia’s beautiful body and whispered, “I’m sorry.” Before walking back to class.
Justin’s POV;
When Lia walked into World History I felt my heart do several leaps in my chest. I watched her walk towards the seat next to me and smile as she passed me my notes. “How’d you know I didn’t have them?” I whispered, looking at her.
“Well, for starters, you’re stupid.” She smiled, looking straight forward.
I moved closer to her and placed my hand on her knee. I smiled to myself realizing how great it feels to be in love with someone for once, and not have any regrets.
Who knew the happiness would be taken away from me so quickly?
