Chapter 18: Making Moves

*DEAN'S POV*

“So what did the boss man want?” Liz asked.
“He actually wanted to talk about you Liz”
“Oh gosh, I didn’t get you fired or anything did I?”
“No, no, he’s actually interested in signing you”
“But, I don’t even wrestle” she sounded puzzled
“Well yeah, but I guess when he caught us he must have seen some potential”
“That’s pretty cool”
“Would you be interested in doing it?”
“I don’t even know, everything just came out of nowhere”
“I think you’d be great at it” I told her.
“That’s sweet of you to say Jon but I just don’t know. And how exactly am I even supposed to get the training…..”
“Babe, don’t worry about it, I know some people on the west coast that can help you out, you’ll be in good hands, trust me”
“I dunno….”
“Just try it, I promise you’ll love it” he said. “How about this, you try it for a week and if you aren’t completely hooked then I’ll drop the subject.”
“…..Fine” she said.
“Yes! Gotta go, talk to you soon” I told her as I ended the call.
“Oh, don’t stop on our behalf” Seth teased.
“Oh yes, we’d hate to kill ‘the mood’” Roman chimed.
“Very funny guys” I said with heavy sarcasm.
“So what were you guys talking about anyway?” Seth asked.
“Work”
“That’s one what to woo a woman” Roman teased.
“Not like that, Hunter came to me about Liz”
“What about her?” Roman asked.
“He wants to sign her”
“As a Superstar?” Seth chimed.
“Yes, as a Superstar”
“Does she even wrestle?” Roman asked.
“Well not really but we were messing around and….”
“Messing around, like….”
“Not like that, it’s….ugh. We’ve been training together and we may or may not have gotten caught messing in the ring after set up….”
“NO” Seth said with shock. “Why didn’t you tell us”
“She didn’t want anyone to know because she doesn’t think she’s good enough yet. Why are you smiling Seth”
“It’s cute, how you’re making moves for your girlfriend” he smiled.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” I said.
“Don’t even play D, we all know you guys are together” Roman added.
“How’d you know?”
“It’s kind of obvious when you guys both keep disappearing at the SAME TIME” Seth laughed.
“Alright, alright, you got me”
“So what did you tell Hunter about Liz?” Roman asked.
“Obviously I told him I’d see if she’s interested”
“So…” Seth pressed.
“I convinced her to try training for a week before I told Hunter anything”
“How are you feeling about this?” Roman asked.
“How do you mean?”
“You know how this business is, are you sure you want to encourage her into this”
“Well, when you put it that way….”
“But do you think she can handle it?” Seth asked.
“Of course, I wouldn’t have even mentioned it to her if I didn’t think she could. I would never put her in a bad situation. I love her…yeah, I love her.” I smiled to myself.
“Love her?”
“WHAT?!” Seth smiled.
“Awe little Deano is in love” Roman said.
“Does she know?” Seth asked.
“No, I just barely realized myself”
“So, when are you going to tell her?” Roman asked.
“I dunno, isn’t it a little too soon to drop the “L bomb”?”
“Oh please, ladies love that romantic stuff like that” Roman said.
“Yeah, but that word shouldn’t be used just to run game and you know that Ro” Seth said.
“Guys stop” I started. “Shouldn’t this be my decision? And besides I don’t even know if I want to tell her yet.”
“Well you’ve got a few months before you’re back in town…”Roman said.
