Angelica had organized a bake sale. To raise money to fund additions to the school. It was a wonderful idea.
Initially.

Everyone was assigned a pastry; Herc and Lafayette were in charge of the cookies, the Schuyler sisters were making pies, and somehow somebody (probably Angelica) convinced Aaron Burr to make brownies. Alex and I were assigned cupcakes.
Things had started well. We managed to put together the batter without any major messes and had also put the batter into the cupcake trays. It was the oven temperature that turned everything sour.

"Everyone knows that if you're baking cupcakes, you put the oven at 360 degrees!" Alex insisted.
"But the recipe says 400 degrees!" I retorted. I shook the  rumpled paper so as to further my argument.
    "So what?"
"So, we have to follow the recipe!"
"Screw the recipe, I know what I'm doing, I've baked like three times, I'm basically an expert." He smirked as he waggles his eyebrows.

"Alex, you are such an egghead!" I said.
"I am not!" He said in a wounded voice. An idea sparked in my head as I laughed.
"Are you sure?" I joked. I reached behind me and found what I was looking for. He realized what I was going to do a moment too late. I crushed the egg on his head and watched as the yolk and whites dropped down the side of his head.
"John Laurens!" He shouted in a scandalized tone as he reached up to clean the egg out of his eyes. I burst into laughter at the sight.
"I'm s-sorry-" I suddenly gasped as a cloud of flour engulfed my face. Alex laughed as I sputtered.
"Oh it is on mister!" I shouted as I threw the baking soda. Disaster soon followed as baking ingredients flew across the room. When the dust cleared, everything, including Alex and I was covered in baking materials.

idek. look who's back! I'm so sorry but school has been hell and I couldn't find time to properly update!!
