Chapter 8

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!!! Sorry I haven't been updating recently, but that is because I was celebrating the lunar new year. Here is another chapter for you guys! I am soooooo happy I got 61 views right now! I wasn't even expecting 10 views, so thank you!

1st Person POV
I opened my eyes to a room different from the one I fell asleep in. 'I must be in another room of the Phantom Troupe's hideout.'
I sighed. To be part of this group of thieves and criminals was dangerous and sad. I mean, poor Kurapika!!!!!!!!! Wait that didn't happen yet. But still! So sad!!!!
'I wonder if I can somehow stop them... No, that would ruin the plot- aw man! Well the bright side of this getting raised by the most dangerous criminals is that they can- no will- help me get stronger! Argh, stop getting off topic Kurokami!' I thought to myself.
'I wonder who is in the room with me.' So I tried to sit up, although I seriously doubted I could.
When I sat up, a just stayed like that for about 2 minutes. I was so surprised I could sit up because, please, I was like a few days old! 'This could be an effect of being in the anime world.' I thought. 'Ah yes. Anime logic- a baby about 4 days old can sit up on her own.'
Once I snapped out of my shock, I looked for any signs of life. I couldn't see anyone, but I heard quiet breaths and the rustling of clothing somewhere above me. I moved my head everywhere so the person couldn't tell that I was discreetly looking up and watching them.
From what I saw, the person was a blonde man.
'Blonde guy other than Shalnark... I think it was Sphinx. Wait... I know it's something else, but I can't remember! Oh well, I know he's a part of the Phantom Troupe. I gotta act like a normal baby! Or should I?.... What is normal anyways?' I said in my head.
So I promptly fell on my back to face the ceiling. I was looking straight at him, analyzing his movements. He didn't move except for his breathing. He probably didn't think I could see him because, well I'm a baby and he was very well hidden in the shadows. My eyes were also used to the dark. I stared directly into his eyes, and I could tell he knew I saw him. His breathing sped up ever so slightly. I smiled a wide smile that would make Hisoka proud (or just creepier than normal).
Sphinx's eyes widened to the point where I was worried his eyes would just pop out and roll on the floor.
To top everything off, I started giggling. Then I was full out cackling after I saw his priceless face.
'How is he hanging up there anyways?' I thought, stopping my laughter.
Good thing I did because just after I stopped, Machi walked in and said, "Hey Phinks, did you meet Kurokami yet? I think I heard her laughing."
