Chapter 15

1st Person POV

'I wonder why Machi is acting all mean and touchy... I mean we've been on good terms, and I didn't lose one of her leg warmer things again- hey, that was an accident. If she's mad at someone else, she wouldn't drag me back... What could be happening?' I thought as Machi carried me under her arm back to the hideout.

Once we reached to Phantom Troupe hideout- for now at least- I was set down, facing everyone. As in everyone, I meant everyone who was alive. A certain red haired man wasn't in yet, but I'm sure he will join in a few years.

"What's wrong?" I asked in confusion.

"Everyone else has already been informed and we have come to a decision. You will answer honestly because the decision is entirely up to you. Do you want to leave the Spiders for 5 years to train and live with the Zoldycks?" Chrollo asked seriously.

"Really?" I was shocked.

"Whatever you want. You can stay if you want."

"Of course! I mean, of course I would like to live with the Zoldycks! No offense to anyone, but I could learn so many different things that you guys didn't teach me yet!" I answered.

Phinks was smiling gleefully. "I'll finally get rid of that little, bratty nuisance!" He muttered under his breath.

I glared at him, glad for my naturally strong ears. "The feeling's mutual, Sphinx."

Everyone, but Phinks and Feitan, chuckled. Although I could have sworn that Feitan was smirking under that high collared trench coat of his. Of course, since I'm so short- I mean I'm only 5- I didn't have a clear view.

"Hey, Feitan! When I come back, let's see who's taller!" I gave him a wide, teasing smile.

"Don't embarrass yourself," Feitan responded, sounding nervous- or that was just my imagination.

"You better eat healthy!" I said while thinking: 'Tch, I always ate very unhealthily in my past life yet I continued to grow. Being tall doesn't even seem that good- standing out in a crowd and stuff like that. Ahh... My past life. Oh well, I'll think about that lat- OH MY GOSH IS THAT A ROCK? WHAT KIND OF ROCK IS AS SHARP AS A NEEDLE?!?!'

I dodged it just in time.

'I thought I was a goner!' I thought.

"Alright, who did that, and what's the big idea?!" I growled.

Phinks was tossing up a medium sized rock and catching it. "Me, I just wanted to see how capable you are; and you looked spaced out."

"Whatever. Why are you sending me away though?" I asked Chrollo.

"Well, you'll have to show her sooner or later," said Machi.

Chrollo pulled out a crinkly piece of paper out of nowhere. "Read this."

I grabbed the paper and read inside my head.

To: The Phantom Troupe of thieves and murderers or the Zoldyck family of assassins.

Whoever receives this note with the child first, will you please raise it? About every 5 years, please send the child to live with the other. If this is first found by the Phantom Troupe, give her to the Zoldycks. If the Zoldycks find her first, please give her to the Phantom Troupe. This way, she will grow up to be strong- unlike me. Of course, whoever finds her first can keep her and decide what she will do. I am just hoping you will listen and act upon what I have said.

Also, before she leaves to the other group/ family- if you choose to do so- please give her the necklace. Even if you aren't going to let her go, please give her the necklace anyways.

If my child is reading this, I hope you know that I love you, but I just could not afford anything. The necklace is meant for you only. I love you, and I already miss you writing this.

My eyes started tearing up (btw it's not the tear where you tear a paper). I've always been emotional, and feel for others- well sometimes.

In my past life, almost every movie made me cry. Books have made me cry. Animes have made me cry. Frustration and anger have made me cry. Ok... I know- the list will keep going and going sooo.... You get the point: I cried, and probably will still cry, a lot.
