And lastly for my first set of 8 characters who act like me, we got this little potato bag. At the time of me posting this, I've only seen the first 3 episodes of Umaru-chan, but I uh....don't really like her. Cynthia does cause she can also relate to her character (and even called her her "spirit animal"), but she's a very...mixed bag for me. A lot of people either love Umaru because they act like her, or they hate her because of the same reason and they wish deep down that they DIDN'T act like her. So I'm mostly the latter while Cynthia is the former. I won't go into details for that right now.
But anyway, Umaru is just an obnoxious, bratty version of Konata, who's unrealistically a better person outside of her home. I can relate to Umaru's love for video games and junk food, and her laziness (even if I hate admitting that I'm lazy), and yes I do try not to act this way out in public, but not to the degree that she does it. I for the life of me will not understand how she's so perfect in the eyes of everyone but her brother, but that's not really what I'm talking about. Basically Umaru is the opposite of Tomoko. "Himouto! Umaru-chan" seems well received, especially by Otaku, since they see themselves in Umaru. But with "WataMote", don't like to admit that being an Otaku can have it's bad sides as well. But my mom, and my aunt (who recently passed. May she rest in peace), AND my boyfriend all say (said) I'm a brat, so I guess in a way I can relate to Umaru's brattiness as well (even though I also hate admitting to that.) Saying all this, I'm DEFINITELY the latter. I'm so similar to her, but I wish I wasn't. I'm also not as bratty as her. Not nearly.
