When I showed this list to my step sister, she acted kinda the same way Cynthia did. Basically didn't think I could relate to any of these characters (except maybe Tomoko cause she's so awkward), but I wasn't picking characters out of thin air here (if you can believe it.) While it's true that she'd probably relate to Mabel's more fun loving sides, I relate to the sides Mabel doesn't really want people to see. In one of the earlier episodes of "Gravity Falls", Mabel got jealous of Wendy and wanted her brother to spend more time with her (I believe it was the Halloween episode.) I can get jealous pretty easily, even if I don't want to admit or show it. Mabel was also afraid of growing up. And when I was in the 8th grade, I was horrified of going to high school deep down. I thought it'd be the worst years of my life, and I'm sure that's how Mabel felt as well. I'm still not really "ready" to be an adult, even if legally I am one now. At least, I'm not ready to handle any adult responsibilities, and I can still be pretty childish. Mabel is also boy crazy, and "fell in love" with damn near any "hot" guy she saw. I was like that when I was younger, too. But I realized that looks aren't everything. Especially when I had a crush on this cute kid back in the fifth grade, and it turned out that he was actually kind of a jerk. At least, he acted how a little boy would act, and I didn't really like it. (He called me ugly and laughed at me when I fell on the playground. Not really someone I wanna be with.) Mabel's also kinda crazy and random, and I can be that way sometimes.
