•Y/n's POV•

The date with Tyler went really well. Luckily, he was talkative, so we didn't have to worry about any awkward silences. However, I still trembled over my words and stuttered like a nervous mess. I could tell that he knew how nervous I was because whenever I hesitated, he'd smirk in a teasing way.

Tyler was dropping me off, so he pulled into my driveway and parked the car. He got out, and walked me to the front door.

"I had fun," he said softly, smiling as he stopped in front of the door.

"Me too," I replied quietly, shyly looking down at the floor to avoid eye contact. I hated that I couldn't act normal around him. My stupid crush on him caused me to constantly act nervous and shy, which wasn't how I acted around my friends, even though I still considered Tyler a friend.

"Do you want to do this again sometime?" He asked, and for the first time ever, he sounded anxious. I looked up and saw him run a hand through his silky brown locks, and I smiled.

"Yes," I answered, and he let out a small sigh of relief, but it was barely noticeable.

"Okay, then I'll text you," he said, and then he began to walk away towards his car.

"Wait," I called, and he turned back around, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

I froze, not actually sure why I told him to wait. I guess I just didn't want him to leave yet. I stood there, trying decide what to say or do that wouldn't make me look stupid.

I looked at him, trying to think of something to say, but his face distracted me. I began to stare at him, admiring how cute his face really was. I almost giggled, but then realized that I was staring, so I quickly refrained.

I had to make some sort of move. Quick. Without thinking, I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around his body. And then I knew, that was what I wanted. I wanted to feel his arms around me. I wanted to smell his familiar scent. I just wanted to be close to him.

He stumbled back, surprised at first, but once he realized what was happening, he wrapped his arms around me too. I rested my head against his chest, and he placed his chin on top of my head. My heart fluttered and I felt butterflies in my stomach. I never wanted this moment to end.

"Y/n?" Tyler called, causing me to feel the vibration of his voice against his chest.

"Yeah?" I asked, not wanting to leave his arms. Unfortunately for me, he pulled away, leaving me with some sort of empty feeling. He brought his hand up, placing two fingers under my chin so he could lift my head up. Now my eyes were looking directly into his, and I couldn't turn away.

"I'm feeling like I've missed you all this time," he said, and I knew what he meant. When I left, he felt the same thing as me. Like he was missing something.

"Let me know that it's not all in my mind," he breathed, and his brown eyes stared into mine intensely. It looked almost like he was searching for my answer.

"It's not," I answered quietly. Between his hands touching my face and his eyes captivating mine, my face felt like it was on fire. "It's not all in your mind."

He pulled my head closer to his as he leaned in. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. I had kissed him before, but that was a long time ago. I really wanted to feel his lips on mine again.

And soon enough, I did. Our noses touched ever so slightly and his lips pressed against mine gently, giving me a faint, innocent kiss. His fingers were still holding my chin, and his other hand lightly cupped my cheek. I brought my hand up, feeling his heartbeat as I placed it against his chest.
