•Tyler's POV•

After a long day at school, Josh decided that he'd come to my house to hang out and do homework.

When we walked inside, we made our way to the table and set our backpacks down, unzipping them and taking out whatever homework we had.

"So," Josh started, looking up from his paper, "do you know if Y/n is staying here or not?"

"I still don't know," I stated, looking up at him. "But, man, I really hope so," I sighed dreamily, and rested my chin in my hand.

"Oooh, somebody's in love," he laughed.

"Yeah, sure," I laughed to myself, getting back to my homework.

"Wait," Josh said, and I looked back up at him. "You said you knew her in fourth grade, right?" He asked.

"Yup," I replied. "Why?"

"I remember you told me you had this huge crush on some girl when you were in fourth grade:"

"Umm yeah. It was Jasmine. You know, the Disney princess?" I told him, looking back down at my homework.

"No... not her. I mean an actual girl," he laughed.

"Uh, I don't know what you're talking about," I lied, writing stuff down on my homework as Josh just looked at me.

"That's not true. It was Y/n wasn't it? In fourth grade? You liked her," he smirked, and I looked up at him hesitantly.

"Not true," I stated, shaking my head.

"Tyler, I know when you're lying."

"Fine..." I sighed. "Yeah... I liked her in fourth grade," I admitted quietly.

"I knew it," Josh smirked, picking up his pencil and beginning to work on his homework.

"Yeah, whatever," I sighed.

After about an hour, Josh and I had both finished our homework, so we were on the couch watching TV.

"Boys, can you set the table for dinner?" My mom asked from the kitchen.

"Sure," I said as I got off the couch, making my way towards the kitchen and Josh following behind me.

After Josh and I set the table, my whole family walked in and sat at the table. It was quiet at first, until my mom spoke up.

"Tyler, you've been hanging out with that girl a lot lately. Are you dating?" She asked, causing everyone at the table to look at me, making me nervous.

"N-no," I stuttered, looking down at my shoes to avoid everyone staring at me.

"He wishes," Zack laughed, and I glared at him in return.

"What? You even told me she was pretty," he told me.

"Well, she is," I responded quietly, feeling a little embarrassed that everyone at the table pretty much knew about my crush.

"Leave him alone, Zack," my mom said to him. "Tyler, if you like her you should definitely ask her out," she said, turning towards me.

"No. She doesn't even like me back," I contradicted her, slumping back into my seat.

"But you kissed her," Josh added in, causing my eyes to widen as I sat up in my seat. I didn't really want Josh to tell anyone that I kissed her, but now my whole family knew.

"Aww, Tyler. She likes you. Just ask her out," my mom smiled.

"No she doesn't. She probably wishes it never happened. Now things are all awkward because I decided to make a stupid move," I sighed, getting out my seat.

"I'm going to my room," I stated as I walked off, and Josh quickly got up and followed me.
