Amara woke up to a stream of sunlight pouring through the window. She covered her eyes from the brightness.
She stretched her hand back, reaching for Thor. Instead of the expected feel of his flesh, she felt the cotton sheets. She rose up. Where is he?
The door opened and Amara turned to see Thor. He was shirtless and in sweatpants. His tan skin and golden hair glowed in the sunlight. He was holding a bread tray of two mugs, one containing coffee and the other mug of water. There were two bottles of water and two English muffins with jam.
Amara beamed, "You brought breakfast."
"I bought...appetizers," Thor chuckled. "Coffee? Tea? Water? I'm good either way."
"Tea. What kind do you have?"
He reached into his pockets and retrieved several tea packets.
"Green, Black, berry, lemon, and herbal mix."
"Green, please."
Thor took the tea bag out of the packet and placed it in the mug, pushing it down with a teaspoon. He gave it to Amara.
"Thanks," she said as she began stirring. She looked at Thor, sipping from the mug of coffee. His blue eyes shined at her.
"What," she grinned.
"You look beautiful in the morning."
"Well, I'm getting some Vitamin D."
"And some sunlight." Thor smirked.
Amara gaped, catching his innuendo. She grabbed a nearby pillow and playfully hit a laughing Thor.
"Sorry."
"Oh, man," she guffawed. "I'm gonna call your parents and I'm gonna let them know what you just said."
"Please don't," he said in a teasing innocent tone as he neared closer to her. "I'll be good. I'll be good." His voice grew huskier as he arrived at her face and planted a soft lingering kiss. She smiled as she returned his feeling.
She raised an eyebrow. "I know you will."
He moved back, placing the mug on the end table.
"So are you up for today."
Amara gave a confused frown "Today?"
"Exploring. Walking. Hiking."
"Of course." She raised her mug for a sip.
"Good."
"Are we going to visit Stonehenge? How far is it?"
"Less than an hour. Approximately forty minutes."
"What time is it now?"
"Uh," Thor dug through his pocket and recovered his phone. "It's a quarter to nine."
Amara's eyes widened. "Wow. We should get ready." She placed the coffee mug. She gripped the sheet close to her body as she shuffled to the end side of the bed.
"What's the rush?"
"Tomorrow is Sunday," Amara rose up, her sheet wrapped around her. "We'll be heading home. I'll have to go back to work Monday."
A pout grew on Thor's face. "I thought we could have another round."
Amara sighed. She walked toward the bathroom, opening the door and disappearing. Thor heard the shower turn on. Amara's head popped from behind the door frame.
"Wanna add a little thunder to the rain?" Her fingers ran up and down, trailing the wood.
An electricity surged through Thor's body. Amara produced the sheet and threw it in his direction. He pulled down his sweatpants and walked to the bathroom.
I'm still working on and editing the previous chapter. It's coming soon. Hope you guys enjoy the story and the series. Thanks.
