Beam paced along the corridor aimlessly. They had arrived at the hospital 15 minutes ago and there is still no update on Kit's condition. Pha and Nong Yo have been sitting together side-by-side, talking softly to each other but Nong Ming... Beam is worried about him in particular. Ming has been sitting alone and looking spaced out, like he is lost in his own world. Beam had heard Ming's self-admonishment in the car earlier. 😟 He knows what his Nong is thinking... and Beam doesn't like it one bit.
"😥 Kit, you better be okay." thought Beam anxiously. "God knows what your lover will do if something were to happen to you."
Deciding that he better do some damage control for his friend, Beam went over and sat down beside his Nong. Ming didn't even react to his presence.
"Hey... Nong Ming... how are you holding up?"
"---"
"You know that this is not your fault right? Nong Ming, this is not anyone's fault."
"😢 You don't know that, P! I pushed him! He wasn't ready but I- I pushed him to confront his feelings!!"
"😐 Listen, Nong Ming. Yes, you and Kit has had some things going on for a while. Kit being Kit, he has a hard time facing up to his feelings. But all of those things did not cause this to happen! Anyone could see that he has feelings for you. Kit loves you, Nong Ming 🙂. Anyone can see it."
"😣 But- but what if-"
"There's no 'buts' or 'ifs', Ming. I can see that P'Kit loves you."
"😢 Yo..."
"See, Nong Ming. Even your best friend here can see it."
"B-but-"
"Pull yourself together now. Kit will need someone to look after him right? Everything else, you can put it off for later."
"P'Beam..."
"Guys, the doctor's here."
