Chapter 5

You woke up the next morning and got ready for another day for working with the Resistance. You still needed to plan how you were going to leave and join the First Order.

But whilst you were with the Resistance you still had a job to do. As you made your way out of the room you were stopped by one of the Resistance pilots, Poe Dameron.

"Excuse me (y/n), but could you spare a minute?" You turned around to look at him. You sighed slightly, you just wanted to get your work done. "Sure. What's up?" You watched him pull out a ring. "It's been arranged to ask you if you'll-"

You staggered back slightly "No- I'm sorry, I can't marry you." He frowned slightly "But everyone knows that you have to marry me. As much as I want my freedom to marry someone I choose, I have to marry-"

You shook your head. "You've got the wrong girl pal. I already love someone else. I'd never say yes out of pity. Plus, why would I have to marry you? I don't even know you that well."

He tilted his head slightly "You don't know?" He sighed "I thought Leia would've told you. When your mother gave you up to the Resistance she said for you to marry me. Your mum and my parents arranged it. So you didn't end up marrying someone from the First Order."

Your eyes widened slightly, your mother wasn't even here yet she was ruining your life. You stormed off to your room, there was no way you would marry anyone but Kylo. Only if he wanted to that was.

You couldn't marry someone else. You wouldn't marry someone else. Once you got to your room, you entered and slammed your door.

"What's wrong? I can sense your frustration." You turned around and saw Kylo. You hugged him tightly. "I've had a bad day, that's all." He hugged you back but you both pulled away. He wasn't really much of a hugger

"Tell me what happened." He looked at you and sat down "It's complicated but I'll try." You sighed "I'm supposed to be betrothed to a pilot from the Resistance, Poe Dameron. But you know that I want to be with you." You put your face in your hands.

"I know, but it's not going to be that easy for you to get onto the Starkiller base." He sighed, you then looked up at him "That's it. If I just take an escape pod I can-"

He cut you off "It won't be that easy (y/n)." You frowned slightly "Wait- I've had an idea!" You smiled brightly "The Resistance are planning an attack on the First Order. I'd be in one of the X-wing fighter because since the First Order attacked we've lost most of our pilots."

You scratched the back of your head nervously "I'm a good pilot myself but Leia would never let me fly unless it was her last option." Your eyes widened slightly.

"What's wrong? Did you think of something else?" He asked "I know just the pilot to get me on an X-wing fighter. But I'm not sure how I'm going to do it."

You sighed slightly. You really didn't want to have to face Poe again but you were hoping he would understand and let you join his squadron. If you could convince him. "Are you sure about this (y/n)?"

He looked concerned but you looked back at him and smiled "I'm sure. Just wait for me okay? And try not to blow me up." You laughed slightly and he nodded "I can't make any promises." He joked.

Then he was gone, you walked over and fell into your bed. You tried to speak to him through the force without having to see him.

Just you wait Kylo, I'll be there soon. I'll do whatever it takes. I promise.

You weren't sure if he heard you or not but you knew that he would know that you were determined to be with him.
